My msi u130 wont restart when im turning it on it said TFGHT is compressed press ctrl+alt+del to restart and when i press it the starting logo showed but it comes back to TFGHT i open boot and i restore defaults i save it but its not still starting my uncle said my msi needs to be reformat is reformating is the only to make my msi work again? If it is how can i reformat it because reformating is too expensive,please help me

I'd like to help you, but it is very difficult to diagnose based on your description. We will need to gather more info as we try a few things.
1. Why are you reinstalling? 2. How old is the system? 3. Try the following & let me know the result: turn system back on. When the normal LED indicators are on, press & hold down the power button for 4+ seconds until everything goes off. 4. If step 3 worked, then turn power on & hit bios setup key (f2?). 5. See if HDD is detected.

reinstall windows with the resore option when powering up hold the 0 key down until you hear a long beep then select the restore my computer option

The moon icon usually indicates that your machine is in SLEEP mode. Try closing and opening the screen lid. If not, there might be a problem with your laptop waking up from sleep mode. Try holding the power button. This will turn it off. Turn it on again by pressing the power button once more. Hope this helps! Have a nice day.

you may have trouble sorting this with out the disc.Here are the steps to replace the BOOTMGR:
  1. Boot from the Windows install disc.
  2. Click on Repair your computer after selecting proper language, time and keyboard input.
  3. Select the Windows installation drive, which is usually C:\ , and click Next.
  4. Choose "Command Prompt" when the System Recovery Options box appears.

Compressed boot in win 7

boot the CD-Drive first. For more information please visit HERE.
Steps:
1.Insert the Windows 7 OS disc into your CD-drive and restart the computer.
2.Wait for the setup window to appear
3.Press Shift+F10 simultaneously to bring up Command Prompt
4.Type in Code: bootrec/fixboot then press enter
5.Last but not least type in Code: bootrec/fixmbr then press enter

Try booting to your Vista installation CD. Choose Repair. Select your operating system, should bethe only one. It will repair the BOOTMGR.
