A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug the re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Also, make sure the Lexmark OCR scan software is installed on your computer. The scan software is available only on the install disc. Insert the cd in your hard drive to install the software. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

I need a download for a 1270 series Lexmark printer (installation disk). Please help.

Get on the internet, go to Lemark site they have a area for support, and download drivers place on a cd or down load to your desktop. When finished run the drivers and your printer should work. If you can find on lexmark site there are many other sites that have them. Just type Lexmark x1100 drivers and pick a site in your search engine. You should not have to buy them.. Good luck.

Here is the driver from lexmark, download it and run it. This will install your printer. High light the link and copy it then paste it in your browser.
