We just installed a Moen Banbury single handle faucet, and we have very little water pressue. The pressure in the rest of the house is fine, and we cleaned out the aireator filter. Any ideas?

We have the exact same problem with a moen banbury that is about six years old. There is plenty of water pressure everywhere in the house except this faucet. There is also plenty of pressure when using the side spray. The hot and cold valves barely run a trickle of water when turned on that slowly gets stronger. Checked all the valves and water passages and all was fine. Still not fixed.

Finally figured out the problem with help from moen. A part called the diverter needs to be replaced. Moen sent it free - I installed and it works. Pressure is fine and the side spray works. You can also remove the diverter altogether and the pressure is fine but the faucet runs while using the side spray.

Yes, Pull the faucet and look for particluate matter in the water passageways. Also check your shutoff valves, they have washers that fail, and then break up with you shut them off for faucet replacement, and little pieces get flushed into your new faucet....Kind of a common issue.

SOURCE: We just installed a Moen Banbury songle handle

Hi jaryan--
Sometimes when you valve off a water supply, particles of rust or mineral deposits break free and travel along down the pipe when the water comes back on, only to stop when they reach a small opening. In this case, it could be the faucet's supply line.

You already cleaned the aerator, which would have been my first suggestion. The next step is to visually inspect the supply lines for the faucet. Are any of them kinked or twisted? If they look good, the next step is to valve off the water at the shutoff valves closest to the faucet-- they should be on the plumbing under the sink.

Next, disconnect the supply lines to the faucet at the point closest to the faucet. Using a bucket, aim each supply line, one at a time, into the bucket and slowly valve on the water. How is the water pressure? Do any rust particles come out? Flush each line until the water runs clean and strong. Before you reattach the supply lines, use a flashlight to check the hardpiping on the faucet itself and visually check for any obstructions. Remove any suspected blockages manually.

Reconnect the supply lines to your faucet and check its pressure again. If the faucet's pressure is still low, you may have a clog in the faucet's interior mechanism.
--Hope this helps

I had a look at the installation guide and exploded diagram, It seems that the whole assembly will be tightened when the mounting nut is put on.

Please Help! I installed 3 Moen Banbury single handle faucet/shower units. Water will not flow from either the hot or cold handle position from any of the units. I pulled a feeder pipe (pex) off each one...

were there any thread protectors inside the hot and cold inlets? sometimes they put Styrofoam pieces inside to keep debris out of the inlets and outlets. inspect inside of valve body through inlet holes thoroughly

No hot water on Moen single handle shower faucet. cold ok and shut off is fine

do you have hot water elsewhere? if not, might be that your water heater is not heating.
if you do have hot water elsewhere, did you let the faucet run for a minute or 2.
did you have hot water before? is this a new house? new valve?
need a little more detail.
on posi temp valves, if there were no water coming out of the hot side of the valve, the valve will not operate.

My moen vestage faucet is dropping water pressure. It worked fine when it was installed but the water volume out of the faucet has dropped to less than half of what it was.

Have you removed aerator ,screen etc., from end of tap, to see how flow is with it off. If good, or same as other taps when taken off of them, then you've got debris in aerator, and screen.
