Check your fuse on your power wire, should be under the hood by the battery. if the fuse is good then check to make sure you have a good ground and power on the remote turn on wire. it sounds like a blown fuse though, hope this helps. dave

Check for blown fuse under hood, trace your remote wire, inspect it for stretched, split or broken leads since this is the thinnest wire, it breaks when pulled too hard.

Hi there i have just purchased two newer model type r alpine subs and a week ago i got a great deal on a rockford fosgate 800 a2 amplifier. The amp has two outputs and don't know exactly what ohms are at...

if you bridge it i believe you run at 4 ohms instead of 8 even if the subs are wired together i would not bridge it for fear of blowing the subs. if you where to bridge it it would be the left channel on one terminal and the right on the opposite terminal. but i highly advise against bridging it as they are wired together. its running at the proper impedence NOT bridged.

I have a Kenwood KAC-9105D amp. It is brand new and worked for about 20 minutes while I was driving and it hasn't worked since. When I turn my car on, the blue and red LEDs on the amp both come on for a...

First of all, how are your subs wired to the amp. Make sure your amp is not bridged or you'll fry it, it only has one channel. If that doesn't work you probably already fried your amp.

When i hook up my amp my speakers wont play music? ive hooked up my rca cables up but i ont know if you hook it up to the input or output frum the cd player?

you rca hookup, back of cd player is rca out, at the amp it is rca in, make shure you hook up blue remote wire, also make shure you have a good ground if not amp will not turn on. if you run wires make shure you run power wire down one side of car and remote and rca down the other, This will keep all motor noise out of system.

Fried 3 amps. Is it my car? 93 mustang gt. I had my original amp Rockford Fosgate punch 500@2 for about 8 years then the whole system got stolen. Bought the same one on Ebay and it was fine for a few...

make sure you run your ground and power wires on one side of the car and the rca's on the other, keep them sepparate. if you have all wires running to your amp(rca's/12v power/remote), then you run the chance of either getting interference from the alternator, or if you have a pinched wire(usually by the door step) it may short with your battery wire. Double check your rca's and make sure they're ok and also check for corrosion on your wires.

Stereo wont stay on and only couple speakers work

on the back of the stereo you should have an rca inputs in the back, it should say either rear, subwoofer, or non-fade. all of these are acceptable, run rca's to the amp from the deck.
also on the deck in the wire harness is a blue wire with a white stripe.
hook a wire up to this and run it to the REM. terminal of your amp. this wire tells the amp to turn on when you turn on your key.
these are the only two wires you hook up the back of the stereo.
hope this helps
