It sounds like your tail rotor is acting up or missing. It keeps your Helicopter from flying in circles.

On your remote the right side there is a dile turn it back a little while it is fling that way you can tell which way to turn it so it will stop spinning

Air hog havoc goes up and down just fine, no steering control

The steering control only makes the copter rotate.

But if the heli is properly balanced a right turn should get you some forward motion. A left turn should just make it spin back to the left.

Adding weight to the front of the copter will give it continuous forward motion. Then you will lose the ability to hover.

If you visit the Air Hogs website (www.airhogs.com), select "need help" and then Havoc Heli, then crash course, the video will show you how it works.

I also find that climbing makes the heli spin left and descending makes it spin right. So full right for initial startup, then a little right when climbing, and a little left when descending helps to smooth things out.

Keep in mind that this is a very small and cheap helicopter. It took me a while to get used to flying in circles to the right but with practice I have been able to get it to go somewhat where I want it to. I can take off and land from the coffee table without crashing.

HARD DRIVE NOT DETECTED

I would just try and come out straight to you, that your harddrive has very much likely to have crashed. Hard Drives are generally Very Fragile because of the Tiny Read/Write head that is inside.
The moment it drops on the floor it might have got broken. and that is why you are hearing the funny noise...although it will still keep spinning because the voltage is still being supplied onto it, but you might not be able to read or write anything onto it.
Sorry.
Hope this helps.
Goodluck.

Helicopter keeps spinning in circles and won't lift.

There is a "trim button" on the controller. Ex: if the helicopter is spinning left, press the "R" trim button repeatedly. Takes a little practice to get it down to flying with out hitting anything. Good luck.

My helicopter won't fly, it just spins around.

The top rotar blades are not turning but are slipping every now and then.
