Hi, the OL code means Overloaded..
OL flashes when the machine/motor control detects a load size that exceeds the washer's capacity.Open the door lid to clear display, remove excess laundry, then restart the cycle.

I fixed the problem "OL" before wash or rinse cycle. I noticed if I
raised the tub manually after a resonable amount of water was in
the tub the wash/rinse cycle would start. The water level sensor
was leaking air, as the tub fills slowly it looses air pressure and
misreads how much water to put into tub. When too much water is in
the tub the OL error happens. The clear air line comes up at the
outlet hose tells the control panel how much water is in tank so be
sure to remove the hose while TUB IS EMPTY. ( i made mistake of
removing hose with full tank and the washer thought it was empty
and started spinning water out into floor. So, with empty tub I
removed top panel, then pulled clear air line from control panel. I
put a dab of silicon around the tip the hose came off ( don't get
into the air hole!) , replace hose and wait for silicon to set and
done. I figured it out by my I started self and didn't have to call
a repair man. Actually I am a computer repair man in nashville -

oL is an Overload error. Try running a cycle empty.

If oL (overloaded) appears in display, the load too large. If an overload is detected, the washer will drain any water and detergent in the washer. Remove several items and add HE detergent. Close lid and press START/PAUSE.

Tub does not move during wash cycle;just keeps filling;timer jumps from 25 to 4:then drains;flashes OL(small loads)

First, OL/UL stands for "Overload", so in other words, the washer things the tub is too hard to move because it's overloaded and the motor is struggling or the unit is way out of balance causing the washer to struggle. The most common problem is a nut below the inner tub that needs to "float". Floating is when the tub fills up with water to a certain level the inner basket will rise about 1 inch from the center agitator. What this does is disengage the basket from the motor so that the agitator can rotate independently from the basket. If the basket does not float then when it tries to agitate the whole basket will turn back and forth at the same speed as the agitator and this will cause the OL/UL error code.

OL error code

Hi jbrundage1. I believe you have a UL error code on the washer. It means that the sensors in the washer are sensing the unit is unbalanced. When the washer is empty, set it to a spin or rinse and spin setting. Run the washer through the cycle empty, as it will help to remove any excess water in the tub. Also, make sure the washer is level, as it is balanced on springs, and that could be throwing the sensors off. I hope these suggestions prove helpful. My GE top load washer is about 5 months old. It fills up and runs through the agitation cycle but then stops at the end spin cycle. The clothes just sit in the water. I checked the hose for kinks and...

I have had this problem with two of my previous washers a top loader and front loader. Each time it was a faulty pump that drains the water from the tub after the wash cycle is complete. If the water does not drain from the tub the machine will not go to the spin cycle. Both of my washers were 5 or 6 years old when this occurred. If the washer is only 5 months old it should be under the manufactures warranty. Good Luck.

Incomplete wash cycle.

It sounds as if you have something acting as a flap causing the restriction. You should take the hose that leads from the tub to the pump off and see if there is anything just inside the tub. I have noticed that alot times you could have a coin that blocks the opening. You may have to remove the inner tub to remove anything in there
