I am house sitting & can not find the manual for the Nexxt 700 front loading washing machine. How do you deactivate the child lock? I have been clicking the Menu options and select options. I am unable to deactivate the child lock. thank you~

You have inadvertently activated the child lock, set the dial to any cycle and keep your the start button activated until the key sign disappears, this will deactivate the child safety functions and the machine will operate as normal. In future do not linger over the start button and try not to lean across it when near the machine and it is in a cycle.

Samsung machines error codes are numbers and letters, then I the machine is not in fault mode, but child lock has likely kicked in.

Try the following:

ACTIVATING/DEACTIVATING
If you want to activate/deactivate the Child Lock function, press the Soil Level and Signal
buttons at the same time for 3 seconds.
How It Works:
1. "Child Lock" can be activated while your Washer is running.
2. Once you activate "Child Lock", all controls (except for the Power button) will be locked
until you deactivate "Child Lock".
3. The Child Lock button will be lit while it is in effect.

the child lock is activated these are meant to stop children not adults from using the machine! check your handbook for info on how to deactivate usually holding a particular button for 5 secs or more will cure it.

Hold start button 10 seconds.
Then it will deactivate.

If this is not the case, door lock fault or main board fault.
