Already have 2, trying to load for a friend. downloaded the v1.21 software updated (version 07/08/08) as instructed. still hangs on loading page. SD card works fine in my other R4 cards. getting really frustrated

1. I have NDS with a 2GB micro sd card. 2. I moved the correct files to the root directory onto my micro sd / usb reader. 3. I then swapped out the 2GB micro sd card into my R4 / NDS. 4. Turned the power on my NDS. 5. I then get a Loading...screen.
So, I decided to see if I reformat my micro sd card from Fat16 to Fat32 if this would work..
This failed as well.. I stuck with a Loading.. screen.
Please help!

i just got my bloody r4 card and it dont work... literally take forever to saying 'loading...' can u help me plz and wen i downloaded that v1.25 kener thing how do i put it on the r4 ty plz reply

Are you saying you have one SD memory card that works in one R4 card but not the other R4 card?

I just bought one of your R4 2nd generation storage device and a 1gb micro sd card. i got it to work one time and started playing. once i was done playing the first time i started my DS Lite again its did not load up again( froze at loading on the DS). so i reformatted the sd card again and load the software/roms and played once again one more time and the something happen froze at loading. then i tryed updating to R4 v1.18 kernel it did not work. can you please help me fix this problem

When you copied the R4 software to the SD card you either missed something or put something in the wrong place. This is the most likely cause of nothing happening when you turn on your DS. It's also possible that you are using an oder version of the software. Follow the link provided.
There are two things this could be. Either the R4 is broken or some file on the SD card is corrupted. I would try Re-formating the Micro SD card first. Make sure to back up all of your game save first though. I hope I helped.
the normal ds does work with the original ds, i have 3. lol. the r4 cart goes in the top of the ds in slot 1, it obviously about the same size as the r4 cart, have ur ds so it facinf downwards to the ground, and insert the game facing upwards so you can see the r4 wording on it, slot all way in until it clicks in, then power up.
You have to put the R4 v1.18 kernel on the memory card for it to work. R4 web site is http://r4ds.cn/ In the download section is the r4 manual follow that and you should be ok.
