I have connected my PowerShot A2000IS that was doing the same thing for me and I discovered the following:
1) The unit works fine even down to 2.5V providing the supply source (i.e. batteries can deliver 500 mA for a short burst during startup, i.e. when the camera's lens is extended). The camera draws 300mA with screen on after the initial startup current has settled. This means that the camera may not work with batteries like normal alkaline as these don't normally supply large currents, like NI-MH and NI-Cd can.
2) I found that if I lowered the voltage down to (using my bench power supply) that the low power indicator come on at just under 2.5 Vs, BUT once it has indicated low battery, turning the voltage back up to 3V didn't remove the low battery indication.
3) Finally I connected my fully charged (with combined voltage of 2.7V) Ni-Mh rechargeables (old and well used) using wires to allow me to measure their voltage and I found that when I turned on the camera the voltage dipped to 2.3V, but come up after the lens was deployed.

Conclusion and recommendations:
a) Get some new high quality Ni-Mh cells.
b) Don't use Alkaline cells (even Duracell brand might not handle it).
c) Forget Ni-Cd as terminal voltage would be at best 2.6V which doesn

Also...do not use an SD card no bigger than 2 gigs, What is thee display showing? Make sure the date and time are correct! Get back to me if you need any more help...Thanks...John,

Canon PowerShot SX110 IS Digital Camera charge fully battery after one pics show low battery sign

This is probably a battery issue and not a camera issue. Batteries with low output or low power can be due to them sitting and not being used for long periods of time. This can affect their ability to get a full charge as their "memory" is reduced regardless of what the charge light indicator displays. Even taking a battery that has been sitting for a long period and charging it to full charge, might only have limited power. Some of these can be returned to almost full capacity, but it takes multiple, repeated, alternating, charges and power deletions to rebuild the memory. In many cases, however, the battery just needs to be replaced.

I have been having this problem with my Olympus mju1040 for quite sometime. Everytime i tried to charge the battery when the battery low signal is blinking or when the screen blackout, it will be fully...

Try charging it for an hour even if it is indicating that it is already full in 10 minutes. If the battery still gets drained after a few shots, then you should change your charger.

I have a low battery indication with a fully charged battery on a Sony DSC-F717. What do I do?

First, even a fully charged battery may not be working right - VERY common.
Does the camera do this on two batteries, one old and one much newer? (I say this because lithium batteries are good for about 500 charges - if you are over this, the batteries will always read weak...)
A service shop can test the camera and see if the battery is reading correctly. A service shop may allow you to try the SHOP's good battery in your camera and see if it reads right. If OK, you need a new battery.

The service shop can reload the operating data into your camera - I have fixed them this way myself.
If not, the circuit board that handles charging and batteries may run you $275 plus labour. (The board is not repairable)

Camera shows low Battery and goes off even if u insert a new one

are you using NiMh rechargeable batteries?
If yes, check that they are fully charged. If that doesn't do the trick, sounds like it might be a power circuit issue. Samsung is in Secaucus, NJ
or SamsungUSA on the web
