I think you are referring to the stair/upholstery tool. Attach the hose
to the machine...turn the pump and vacuum on and use....liquid is
dispensed when you squeeze the handle on the tool..

Where do I hook up the hose on a Bissell #7901-R?

Hey Anne! The upholstery hose wraps around on the back of your machine. Page six in the user guide shows how the hose wraps around.

If you don't have the user guide, here's a quick link to downloading one:

Will not **** the water off the carpet.

If the carpet cleaner won't "Extract" water from the carpet, try using the upholstery / hand tool. If you have suction there, your selector switch / knob is either in wrong position, or broken. There may also be a tear in the hose on the inside of the cleaner, or the waste tank is not sealing well.

Water is leaking out of the upholstery cleaner

Might the button be stuck a bit? We had this problem and rinsed the brushes out and cleaned the connector area with a damp paper towel. Had to push the button in and out several times to be sure it wasn't sticking. Also, when the hose is docked found it tended to hit the docking station and would spray everywhere! Had to turn around the hose w/ the button so it would stop spraying everywhere. Hope this helps.

No water from my Bissell

I AM BISSELL WARRENTY DEALER, AND MOST COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE UNITS ARE CLOGGS IN THE LINES AFTER THE HEATER OR IN THE HEATER THEM SELFS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET INTO. THE PUMP IS A DIRECT DRIVE WITH NO BELT AND I HAVE NEVER HAD TO REPLACE ONE NOT TO SAY ITS NOT THE PROBLEM BUT UNLIKELY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE TRY TO GET SOME FLOW AND TRY RUNNING SOME SORT OF LIME AWAY CLEANER INTO SYSTEM AND LET SIT THIS WILL HELP PREVENT CLOGGS AND POSSIBLY CLEAR CLOG OTHER WISE YOU WILL HAVE TO DISSASSEMBLY MACHINE AND CLEAR HEATER AND LINES MANUALLY. IF YOU GET WATER TO ATTACHMENT HOSE BUT NOT NOZZLE YOU MAY CHECK THE RED TIPS FOR CLOGGS. THESE CAN BE REMOVED WITH OUT TAKING THE MACHINE APART.
