I replaced the lamp and the projector is make a very loud buzzing noise. How do i remedy this problem?

Mine is doing the same thing. I think its the cooling fan. The bearing is probably gone.

Yes, that can solve the problem because there's also a possibility that the lamp is the one that is causing the noise..

Ordinarily my first thought would be that the lamp is needing replacement. But if it's brand new, the lamp should be OK. Can you open the lamp compartment to see if it was broken during transit, or perhaps it's not fully seated properly. If it's a broken lamp, then I would contact the dealer you purchased it from, or contact the manufacturer directly to have it replaced. Also, is the noise loud and unusual, or just the normal sound of a projector coming on? If it's very loud, it could be the fan motor. Check that the fan is blowing. If the fan is the problem, the projector will shut down to protect itself from overheating. That, too, should be covered under the waranty.

First. The whirring or buzzing sound you hear is the Color Wheel and it needs to be replaced. Second, since I do not know when and if the original lamp has been replaced it is a good idea to replaced the lamp. The bad Color Wheel is the one causing the set to shut down.

This TV uses a lamp and color wheel. the color wheel is likely the problem since it is known to make noise over time and will eventually sieze. The repair is in the $400 range.

check the lamp again. look in the reflection in the bell of the center glass. do you see any black spots or cracks or uneven bulging? if so, change the lamp and blow the dust out, because it may be over heating. otherwise, the power supply is fried and needs replacing.

sounds like the color wheel needs to be replaced very easy repair on that model Samsung.

I will need your Make and Model of the Projector , before I can do a diagnosis. Also include if this is a LCD or DLP machine.

Together with the above , can you feel any vibration on the Projector when you place your hand on it ?

Could be something touching the color wheel

since you changed the lamp my next thought is that the color wheel has failed,,,most good road techs can replace it in the home..the cost would be between 220.00 and 350,00 depending on the company...
