Your router has broken (brick) and you couldn't repair it without proper tools and knowledge. One way to solve this problem is to replace your router chip eprom.

It seems that you can not download the HD director however they have released another one to take it's place. The download is 244 MB. Here's a link, you can read the entire chat with HP support which also has the download link & instructions. There are many people who have had audio book problems but this firmware seems to sort them.
