Remove the plug of the PS3 and remove the coverr to get the coin out or else it can do a lot of damage to the set.
So before it is used or powered on get to wriggle it out, might be lodged into some circuit parts,

Hello my youngest daughter put some coins in my ps3and I didnt notice it,so I went and put in a game, it wouldnt read it so I took the game out and picked up my consoul and realized there was something in...

Hi you probably still have some coins in there wedged. Easiest fix I've seen. I buy store returns and refurbish them. If your good with a philips screwdriver just take the console apart and get the coins out. Worst that couldve happened is the coins grounded out on the dvd drive board then the ps3 is useless bet sounds like theres still something in there.

My 2 year old stuffed a couple of coins intoPS3

open it and try to get the disc port open on then just take out the coins and put it back together (and try to keep coins away from your 2 year old)

I took my dvd apart to get some coins out & now it's unresponsive

Hi,

I am guessing you had a disc in the drive when you took it apart (or maybe the coins had something to do with it).

What you need to do is disassemble the Bluray drive again. With the top cover off of the Bluray drive, power on the PS3, then hit the eject button. The plastic guides should snap into the right position and then you can reassemble and it will work again.

When i start the ps3 it states, cannot start correct hard drive not found. Does anyone else have this problem.

You can start by making sure the power switch is off, and then you can remove the HDD cover on the side of the unit. It should pop off by putting a coin in the small slot. Now you can try to slide out the HDD and back in to reseat it.

There is a small chance that reformatting could cure this, but you will lose all your data. The other possibility would be the drive has gone bad. The can be replaced with a cheap laptop drive, and the ps3 will automatically format it with the ps3 OS once a new drive or formatted drive is detected.

My daughter stuck coins into my PS3

Ouch.
whatever you do, dont turn on your ps3.
if your ps3 is in warranty, try to call Sony and tell them about the problem. If they wont accept it, go here.
Its a step by step tutorial on how to open the ps3.
Once open, remove all of the coins.

Good luck with your ps3. hate to see such a piece of machinery get destroyed.
