My question is more a lack of me understanding mediamonkey. im trying figure how to organize my files in my harddrive the right way. the part where it shows you example <artist> <album>...

SIr I believe you should purchace or download a 100% original copy of songs if it is about, as the songs which are not from original disc have not marked details in its properties this kind of files are to be said blind files. If you want to Organize them perfectly you can however edited detail my clicking on to there properties and than clicking button of detail there you can edited every thing you want. this is what usually done with even pirated copies. Export time on TASCAM 2488 is really long, exporting over 7000MB to FAT, takes 2 hours?

I've never transferred a file that large myself yet, but some song files I have transferred do take upwards of an hour and I agree, that's a long time. To not notice so much, what I've come to do is first, take a well deserved break, or even work on the computer end of things ie: song organizations, really anything I can use that 'down time' for which will help make me more productive and/or organized. as the 2488 needs lots of organizational skills going on in one's head. Or, as I suggested at the outset- just take a break from it all as recording does tend to get long in the tooth after a while. Maybe even read the manual- as boring as THAT is, it has certainly helped me...some..seriously!

Songs on the mp3 player won't show up on the computer

In your windows media you will see the device name listed..you have to make sure the device is under MTP mode..then click on the player and you will see all the songs...you can just right click on the songs and delete them..if you dont want the device to sync automatically you can click on sync and then click on the device name and click on sync setting..there you can modify if you want it to sync automatically..
Should you have any questions..let me know..
P.S.Please rate accordingly...

Reads Bad Track

If you changed the name of the song then thats the problem just simply change its name back to the original.

If thats not the problem then just delete the song or it will mess your sansa up and download it again for free with limewire

Can't load or delete music

You could try rebuilding the directory. Just have to delete the old music folder and create a new one named the same thing. This worked for me.

Open the Insignia player directly into the harddrive on the player itself (look for the Insignia MP3 player icon in My Computers for XP when it is connected to the computer).
