You submoron. You cannot adjust the points while it is running. You must set them with a feeler gage when the cam follower of the points is at the high point of the distributor cam. Timing is always set after the points are adjusted.
J.D. has never published a dwell angle for this engine and seriously doubt if your math skills are up to calculating it.

Doe's it run? Is it in time? If it runs and is in time. did you set the dwell? You have to have a dwell meter to set it. Unless you can guess. Adjust the screw on the points while it is running and see if it runs better. After you set it you have to set timming again. Or vise versa?
