I have seen situations in the past where a woman especially would not modulate her voice well enough to make good sound on her mic, other then that, make sure your mic volume is set fairly high. Also if the situation is not cleared by the previous two suggestions look for newer audio drivers for your system ( whatever that may be ), a.k.a. motherboard audio driver or sound card drivers depending on what hardware you have installed

Part of the testing during setup of a webcam and mic is a process by which the mic is tested both in modulation and whether or not you can hear yourself usually in a set of headphones. Did the MIC pass this testing??????

Microsoft vx-3000 won't work on MSN!!

What you can do is click the Sound Icon beside the Nudge Button. It might bring up a window titled "Set up Audio and Video - Speaker/Microphone or Speakerphone" the Microsoft Vx-3000 has a microphone built in, so you can change your audio settings to "Microsoft Vx-3000" , then click next. The next one is Webcam. You can change the default settings to Microsot vx-3000.

If you've tried changing your settings for MSN before, then I'm not sure. This is the clever way for me :P

Microsoft lifecam 1.4 does'nt respond

are you sure your microphone isn't muted?. Check your microphone volume setting by doing this:

Control panel > sounds and audio devices > click the audio tab across the top.

Under 'sound recording' , click volume. turn your volume up on the selected device. you may even need to change the selected device to the correct one. Play arround with that audio screen until you get it to work
