Hi i have a driver DCR 100 celestion spec:T3458 can you tell me how many watts they are RMS
also i have a super tweeter HF50 celestion spec:T3426
thanks,DANY

Speaker impedance of 8 ohms suggests home hifi use though the stated performance is typical of a bookshelf speaker, designed to be at the "reasonable" end of the market - reasonable performance, reasonable quality, reasonable cost and suitable for a wide range of volume settings at the lower end of the scale...
Constructor catalogues generally offer a wide range of loudspeaker drive units including tweeters and mostly provide pictures. If you want to avoid modifying anything simply choose one that looks like yours and then check the description fits.
The 600 watt rating is FAKE like most of our advertising and will be either 600 watts PEAK or 600 watts PROGRAM. If it is Peak, use an amplifier with no more than 100 watts a side RMS... If it is program rating use an amp with no more than 150 watts a side RMS but that is pushing it for speaker safety. Also pay attention to the spec of the amp as to what it will output at the impedance of the speakers. I read the spec on the speakers... they are rated 150 watts RMS, NOT 600 watts... Use an amp rated at 150 watts RMS MAXIMUM at 4 ohms per side. Also don't turn up the bass excessively or you be buying new speakers. Twelve inch speakers would be adequate for a 20 by 20 room at SAFE listening levels. If you want driving bass, you need to get an 18 inch subwoofer.
This will be based on the 501 model as you did not give a model Also I am assuming speakers are 8 ohms which I have no firm information for the Tannoy, but they should be marked when you open the unit. We are allowed 40 watt RMS for the woofer and 20 watts RMS according to the specs. They do not tell us what impedance the speakers are so we will do calculations based on 8 ohm speakers... if yours are different, then recalculate; P = I^2 * R so for 40 watts and 8 ohms then I squared = 5 or the current is about 2.3 amps max... You COULD use a 2.5 amp fuse, but if they were my speakers I would use a 2 amp fast blow which gives a bit of margin for the woofer. Now for the Tweeter we have I squared is 20/8 so this comes out I squared equals 2.5 or taking the square root we have 1.58... you could use a 1.75 amp, but if they were mine, I would use either a 1.5 amp or even a 1 amp as the tweeters seem to get blown in these. ALL of these calcs are based on the specs of power for the 501 model and ASSUME 8 ohm speakers... Recalculate if your units have different impedance thaan the assumed 8 ohms.
Hi, With Celestions, it will be the RMS rating. I have one of these and it has "8 Ohms" stamped on the edge of the dark grey edge of the magnet, in black ink, so barely visible. Check around the magnet for any signs of print, it may be faint. They wouldn't necessarily all be 8 ohms. An 8 ohm speaker should measure about 6ohms on a multimeter (as the rating is AC impedence and the meter measures DC resistance). A 4 ohm should measure about 3 on the meter.
the mesa is for guitar and is not more than 100 watts, the neo dog is 100 watts it will fit but will give a different character because can be push to another limit of saturation the vox doesnt give that much.
