Make sure the air-gap between your used blower coil module and the magnets on the Echo's flywheel is about the thickness of a regular business card. That is about .010"-.016". The gap HAS to be present in order for the module to produce the spark.

Starts runs a couple of minutes then dies

It sounds like you have a bad Ignition Coil (Module). This is how they act when they start going bad. When they get warm, they quit. Some will last up to 20 minutes before they shut down. You can sometimes find a used one pretty cheap at a small engine shop.

Not getting fire to plug, replaced ignition still no spark, echo pb-400e

With a good plug and a new switch there are a few remaining basic options. There is either a bad ignition coil or a bad wire or bad connection somewhere.

I hope this helps.

What type of fuel mixture do I use for 20760 Homelite gas trimmer?

Most likely not the answer you are looking for but here is a shot:

Pick up a bottle of the Echo brand 2-cycle oil. It will say "Extended Life" on the labeling. This is meant to run in Echo products, but it is a very FINE and well engineered oil. Mix it according to label directions for 50:1 ratios. (2.6 Oz. to 1 Gal. Gasoline)

When mixed at this ratio it provides MORE than adequate engine protection for ALL 2-Cycle engines, including those that run in 40, and 30:1 ratios.

I mix one 2-cycle tank to label instructions on the Echo oil for 50:1. It handily runs in my Echo chainsaws, non-echo trimmer, Poulan Pro leaf blower, etc. They all run different ratios, but THRIVE on the Echo mix without as much oily residue and smoke to boot!

CAUTION: I do not know of ANY OTHER MAKE of 2-cycle oil that CAN DO THIS *SAFELY*.

Remember:

Always mix your 2-cycle fuel starting with *fresh* gas.

Mix only that which you can use in 30 days.

Use 89 Octane fuel to make your mix in small piston 2-cycle engines.

Clean and re-oil intake filters @ every 10 hrs. operation time. Check and re-gap your plug when you service your filter!

DRAIN unused fuel from tank back into gas mix container. Restart and let engine idle to run any remaining fuel out of engine and carb. Storing fuel in ANY 2-cycle longer than two weeks is going to gum them up and nothing short of a carb rebuild will get them sputtering back to life again!

I need coil and spark plug gap settings for echo hc 1500 type E2 hedge trimmer.

0.026 inch, or 6-8 mm is the plug gap.

The ignition coil air gap range is 0.012 - .016"" or .3 - .4 mm. This is the gap between the flywheel and the ignition coil.

An easy way to gap your coil is use a normal business card between the coil and flywheel, tighten the screws and remove the card.

I have a HC-1500 hedge trimmer tested the kill swithch and it tested good, thought it was a bad coil so put a new coil on, still has no spark, should I put on a new flywheel? One magnet on flywheel seems...

take it to local small engine shop and get a free estament from them
they will tell you whats wrong with the unit
also have you tried to hold the coil wire and have a friend pull it over ??
if you get zapped then try replacing the spark plug

Looking for owners Manual for Echo HC 1500 Hedge Trimmer.

Go to this web site http://www.echo-usa.com/ and on the right hand side of the page click "TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS"

Then when the next page comes up type "HC-1500" and click search.
Now this is important: You have to keep track of your serial number, your model number and
your engine type.
Even when your looking for parts such as the ignition coil keep track of your serial number.

When you pull the side bar down you'll find the different manuals you can copy. I hope this helped.
