Hmmmm, i wonder if you have a gear or something similiar to this going out. (turn tables)

If not, something tells me you have a component that is arching inside of your micrwave. I would call someone to double check to make sure it is ok.

You will be surprised at how many people wait until it is too late to service their units, when it goes out, it is gone.

good luck

I got a Kenmore microwave hood combination model number 721.80032 is it a hood fan to and how do i just turn on the hood fan

The model number 721.80032 is a partial model number; it indicates the build series. I found the Kenmore microwave, 721.80032700. The final 3 digits indicate the panel color and similar details.

Assuming the microwave was installed properly, it should work as a hood fan. Press the touch pad with the fan icon (underneath it says Hi/Low/Off) to get the desired fan speed. The icon is on the lower left of the control panel; it's below the Cook Time button and to the left of the Light button.

The manual for the 721.80032700 is available here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/user-manuals/72180032700-kenmore-parts-manual?manualIndex=0 . The direct link to the Owner's Manual is https://c.searspartsdirect.com/mmh/pd_download/lis_pdf/OWNM/L0710653.pdf . See pages 9 and 14 for using the exhaust fan.

I hope this helps.

Why is my brand new Kenmore microwave hood combination 790.8035 making a whirring sound in the vent area when the lower two speeds are activated.

Ok it's brand new, so check if you left any wrapping on it or there could be something inside the vent, loose screws, connection on your hood is not well made if not take it back.

Chances are the thermal fuse is gone that protects the magnetron. Unplug microwave, remove top, [several screws] look over to the keypad and slightly to the left, you should see round fuse mounted on the inner chassis at the top, change with the same size and rating, if all goes well the microwave oven should function.

Kenmore Microwave door adjustment

Depends on the door. It likely can be adjusted they have 2 screws on the door bracket you may have to remove the cover to see them. But it also needs to be checked with a leakage meter to make sure its not leaking.

RadioShack used to make a low cost meter not certified or anything but a good way to see if its leaking.

Kenmore elite microwave/vent hood model 721.80834500 turntable

I bought a Kenmore Elite Microwave Hood Combination Model 721.80823500 at Sears. The installer did not bring the parts to connect the vent to the pipe on the ceiling and never came back. I cannot find the vent/exhaust connetor part to have it installed. No one knows. I appreciate information or installer. Thanks.

Kenmore Galaxy Microwave Hood Combo Model 72180002400

Since it sounds louder than before, it is probably a bad high voltage diode or magnetron.

If it's within the magnetron portion of the warranty (usually 5-9 years) but out of the original full warranty (usually 1 year), then your manufacturer will cover the part cost, but not the cost to visit you or the labor charge to do the work.

Here are some links you or someone you know can use for test help, but read their safety warnings first:

http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/diode.html
http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/mag_test.html

Sears may send you a magnetron to install yourself since it's under warranty. For that or warranty service, contact Sears at http://www.sears.com.

You can save about $75 by taking it to the shop yourself, as opposed to an in-home service call.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Microwave buzzing

It's likely a bad magnetron or maybe the high-voltage transformer. If it's within the warranty period of the magnetron (5 years or less), I would call Sears. In my professional opinion, no one should work on a microwave unless they are fully informed and aware of the deadly hazards and necessary precautions. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number (without the suffix) here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383
