you could try to press the F8 key along with the arrow up key to see if you can raise the volume

or

some acer laptops differ slightly from others
but are all very similar

please try this please go to the start key
which is in the very bottom left hand side of your screen

start
all programs
acer
acer erecovery management
on the left hit the restore
in here you should have about 3 different options
please choose the last option re istall drivers or applications
contents
scroll down to find the audio driver
go over to the right and click the green install icon
and let windows do its thing and it will probably ask you to restart
before it works properly

1)Reason:
a.The battery has no voltage.
b.There is problem with charger, as it has no output electric current.
c.Low charging efficiency due to external cause.
2)Solutions:
a.Test whether the charger has voltage and output electric current or not.
b.Check if the charger is well contacted with battery.
c.Activate the battery with voltage and current 1.5 time higher then the highest ones of battery. (Use this method only when the battery can't be charged.)

Acer don't do a driver. Try realtek.com.tw for a driver

Try removing the battery and plugging the machine in as if you were going to charge it, then try starting it up.

If it doesn't start up, check the connections on the adapter. If everything looks fine then theres a possibility that you have a broken adapter.

remove the bios battery it is look like a small coin covered with black or green plastic,try to open some panel underneath your laptop.

how long ago did you do this

There are probably some corrupt files on the harddrive or there is damage on the hard drive. I would suggest to try using the windows setup cd or sony recovery cd to restore the system back to normal, if the problem is not solved by that then you most likely have a hardware problem which is most likely in the harddrive, might have to replace it, they don't cost much.

if you press f8 in start up to get the advanced startup menu, select safe mode.

start in safe mode and login

then

press start -> now run -> type in Cmd -> Type in the shell window -> chkdsk /F /X /R C:
if asked select Y to perform the operation on next start up.

see if the problem is solved.

If the password is on the bios, than open the case, find the bios reset pin and short it (or remove the bios batery for 5 sec. ), if the password is on the disk drive(implemented throw bios), than is nothing u can do !!!! (exept go to the laptops manufacurer and pay(a lot) him to remove the password !)
