Fridge freezer controls

I have a CDA 796 integrated fridge freezer which is running far too cold.

I have looked all round the fridge freezer and cannot find any controls to adjust the freezer, the fridge has controls at the top inside the fridge but this does not adjust the freezer.
The freezer is so cold that any icecream or similar products that you put in there go far too hard.

Does anyone know if there are any controls anywhere on the freezer (ie on the back or side) I havent took the freezer out of the built in unit yet as it is very heavy so thought it would be worth knowing if there is likely to be any controls before I move it

Frosting up badly despite having just been defrosted

Hello,

Most times this is a bad cold control, but there are other things to check for. Make sure the condenser fan is working and the coils are not covered with dust. A separated heat exchanger ( small capillary tubing soldered to the large suction line ) can separate from one another and make the fridge run too long. - tape tubing back together. A poor working evaporator fan motor could also make the fridge run too long and freeze - replace the fan motor. An inefficient compressor or refrigeration system could make the fridge run too long and freeze - have a service tech check this out. A misaligned control settings, make sure the air damper and cold control have not been bumped and are out of normal settings. Stuck open air diffusers or air dampers are becoming more and more common for allowing too much air to be blown into the fresh food section and freezing things. On all frost free fridge's the freezer temp air is blown into the fresh food section, if you have "easy" to freeze items ( eggs, veggies in water, etc ) in front of or under where the freezer temp air comes out, they could freeze - store them in a different spot. Doors not closing properly making the fridge run too long is something else to check for cold control and air deflector As you know, the deflector directs the freezer air toward the front of the frig and the rear of the cold control.
Hope this helpout.....

Fridge not working but freezer is ok fridge light works

There is probably an ice build up between the two sides of the appliance. There may also be a problem with the damper unit which controls the cold air coming from the freezer side to the fridge. The fridge is controlled by the freezer. Dependant on appliance. The door opens and closes letting the cold air go into the fridge and when the fridge is cold enough the door will close agin. This is not something that you will see happening it is normally concealed behing a diffuser.

My Maytag msd2756geb freezer is too cold.

Hi,
You are probably right that it is always running. This is because the thermostat/sensor has gone bad. The fridge adjusts by a door that allows air to come from the freezer to the fridge side. Therefore this will still work...
You will need to replace or have the thermostat replaced....

Fridge not getting cold

you have a defrost problem.when you open your freezer door and look at the back panel look and see if their is frost built up.if so that means you do have a defrost problem.you will need to pull panel off and defrost coils.then you can check your defrost thermostat which is round and has 2 wires that go to it.it sits at the top of coils.see if it seperated.if so that is your problem also check defrost heater see if any breaks in it.if those check out then could be defrost timer which is located in ref.side.it would help to know what brand it is.it sounds like a side by side ref,but dont know what brand.

Frost free fridge/freezer - not cold in fridge

The most common problem with refrigerators not cooling when the freezer cooling is the fan which supplies cold air to the freezer. Not easy to get to in most cases. Another problem is the vent to the fridge part is blocked or not operating with the adjustment control.
