Cd will not eject from cd 3.gives disc error message and will not read the cd.. disc errors on cd2 and cd4,but will eject the cd.will not play cds. have unplug both units for an hour. no change when reconnected.

For error code 6:
Try an original purchased cd with no scratches and see if the cd player reads it. If yes then lens is dirty or tired so try using a cleaning cd(has little brushes on it). If it doesn't read with the original cd try using the cleaning cd and if no go then look at purchasing a new cd player!

Even though it says error 6 is an upside down cd, it just means the disc cant be read. usualy means the laser is dirty, out of adjustment, or not working.

hi i recently bought a lexus ls400 and it the trunk it has a ten disc cd changer by the steering wheel in the car is this little black box that keeps reading E-99 evertime i press play on this odd little box that is the control device to make the cd's play i've put the cd 's in the changer upside down right side up testing it and still the little black cd player play button/disc change button keeps saying E-99 my question is, is it a fuse or is this cd player thing near the stearing wheel just a peiece of garbage please contact me at [email protected] if you have any idea why this is doing this because i can't play any cd's theres no cd player where the cd/tape decks usually are in cars in the middle above the column shift. it would mean the world to me if you could help me out with any information as to why this brand new sony ten disc cd changer is giving issues to the cd player thing next to the stearing wheel on the right it's kind of hidden but it just won't stop saying e-99 no matter how brand new a cd i put in the changer thank you your friend john bunce

Use a Laser Lens Cleaner. Run it thru the player a couple times. Use one that has fluid with it, you can find them at any electronics retailer for 15-20. If it still has the same problem, the only thing to do is send it for repair, they will replace the transport. Average cost of 125-175 on a changer. Hope this helps

Unplug the system. Turn the entire unit upside down. The CDs will eject. After I tried this (found it online somewhere), it worked fine for about 2 months. Now it suddenly turns on by itself and ejects CDs (creepy). But at least the original problem was solved.

Well first of all, why the hell would you press play when there was nothing in it???
