Click here to go to the Dell website to download your driver:

Make sure the operating system is correct (I have it set to Windows Vista 32bit as default, which your unit should be) and download the only driver for audio located on that list. It says it is a STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio, which you'll know if that is correct once you download and attempt to install it.

Post an email that I can send you all of the drivers. I have dual boot on mines, Vista and Xp and it works perfectly. I took me a lot of research but I found all of the drivers.

I need to know how to fix the sound on windows xp. i took off a game the sound disapeared and then i noticed the sound was gone as well. now no matter what i do i can't get the sound back

Try typing your computer name and model in google and don't forget to put sound drivers and let me know

i tried that but it says that its not a correct audio driver
I really fed up with this problem so i installed Vista as a secondary OS but as soon as i installed that i have downloaded a client server log on software in to that then initially that was warned me that this is not suitable for vista then i said ok..... but it promt me to made nessasary settings to made that software to install after that i have restarted the system and now its not getting loaded.One of the system file got corrupted so i have tried repair session by booting from DVD but it doesnt worked
i can still use XP in My PC with out audio but no audio drivers are getting installed in my PC to Use XP.
Iam surprised before i have installed XP In the Same PC for which i could install Audio drivers But then i formatted my PC now iam not in a situation to install that back
