I have a citroen picasso and the engine fan keeps running even after the engine is turned off. THe only way to stop it is to disconnect the battery. but it starts again the minute i reconnect the battery

if fan belt broke
that means alternator not charging battery so need to jump start the car as battery is flat and will not be charged till fan belt is on.

lock catch is dirty. clean it with brake cleaner and then spay wd40

fan relay may be bad,or fan has just gone bad

service the car, put correct engine oil in it and also change gear box oil

try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins and reinstall

Sounds like an air leak or the tank pump cannot keep up with demand (the supply pump in tanks do give trouble (a pressure gauge between tank and engine would tell, make sure it is visable when driving, I used to tape it to the bonnet with masking tape.
