Accidentally locked out of my TV

While using my dish network remote I somehow managed to lock my tv (Insignia LCD color tv Model NS-20LCD). Now i can't get the tv to bring up anything, even menu. it's a black screen with a box at the bottom that says "Lock." I've never programmed a lock code that I know of. How can I get back into my tv?

    Insiginia ns lcd 15 loses signal to dish network after 5 to 10 minutes of viewing. any suggestions?

Unfortunately with this model of Insignia you MUST have the remote that comes with that model number in order to unlock it. Other Insignia remotes won't work. So I have ordered another remote from an online company. Hopefully that will work. I'll probably have to call Insignia to have them walk me through it once the remote arrives.

If anyone figures out how to fix it, please let me know. I went to Insignia and Best Buy and bought a remote for my ns 20lcd. I put brand new batteries in and everything but it still doesn't work! Does anyone know of a different way to fix this??

1) Try P-Lock and pasword "0000"
2) Turn TV off and unplug from wall outlet for 30 seconds
3) Check p. 9 and other relevant sections of your user manual.
4) Call Insignia at 1-877-467-4289

I can't find the instructions to program my Insignia remote to control my Dish Network receiver. Insignia model number is NS-RC01G-09.
It would be our please to help you with that. Here is a list of remote codes for addressing the DISH remote to an Insignia TV: 720, 000, 697, 834, 544, 538, 638. Press and hold the TV button until all mode button back lights come on, then release. Use the number buttons to enter the Insignia codes. Press the pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times. Also remember to put the remote back in satellite mode. Thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

Ns-20lcd in locked mode will not unkock with a remote which I ordered. I there a master reset somewhere?
Insignia will tell you that you MUST have original remote to unlock. You press and hold Display button for 5 or 10 seconds. My problem is Best Buy tried to repair mine 3 times and one of those times replaced a board inside and original remote will note work and they will make no attempt to help me figure out what is inside. Mine has been locked for over a year. Locked by accident with universal remove.

1. Locate second power switch on back hidden below curve, left side if facing front of TV.
2. Turn TV on using this power switch while holding in MENU button on right side of TV.
3. This is reset the Lock feature!!

Child Lock on Insignia TV
I CAN HELP! After my having my Insignia NS-20LCD picture locked for over a year because no one could give me a way to unlock it, a co-worker found the secret!!

When facing the back of the TV, there is another on/off switch on the back on the right side just under the curve (very difficult to see). I didn't even know it was there.

Once you locate, turn the set on using that switch while you hold in the "menu" button on the right side (when facing the front) of the TV. This will reset the television and unlock the screen!

i called the help line and they said the only way to fix this was to call best buy and order a new, original remote for the television

Tv is locked
hi guys got same tv same prob......finally after hours of frustration found a solution.

steps:
  • Turn on tv
  • Press and hold the menu button (you will hold this through the next few steps till the menu comes up)
  • turn the tv off using the silver button on the back of the tv
  • push the button back in on the back of the tv
  • tv should come on and bring up the menu
  • using the channel and volume get to the menu with the v-chip controls there should be a reset menu button change it to on.
  • turn off tv using power button on front of tv.
  • turn it back on and problem should be solved
