My 26" TV/DVD combo remote seems Kaputt. Nothing works from power up on. Of course new batteries added. Seems very weak design (composite buttons direct on PCB). Any solution or source for replacement...

Try a universal remote, however I would advice you to try the buttons on the set to check if it works. It might just be a problem with the TV itself..........sodeep

Good day! i have read your problem, i teach some simple tips to check whether your remote control is working or not considering you have a good battery. 1st tip is buy checking it through you cellphone camera. turn on your camera and point your remote control on your camera lens the press any button on your remote. if your remot is good you could see some ligth flashing from your cellphone screen witch indicates that the infrared is working. if thereis no ligth at all the remote is deffective. if there is a ligth and still it does not work in your tv maybe the remote you have is no compatible with your unit or the sensor receiver itself of the unit is defective. i hope this will help you.

this is the second remote that Coby has sent to me , and i stell have the same problem. I can get the tv to cut on and off with the cable box remote but i can't control the Menual on the tv with the cable box remote
