When computer turns on I have black screen with blue text box asking for password

My computer froze up on me so I took out the battery and when I plugged it back in the only thing that comes up is this black screen with a blue text box asking for a password, The password I use for my windows does not work so don't know what password it is asking for. Assuming and hoping there is a universal password for this problem but couldn't find anything in the manual.

One of your friends might have set this up... I've done it before. You either got a crazy virus or somebody played a joke on you. Probably the latter.

Black screen blue box saying

some one must have put in a boot password to your laptop,
follow this:
When booting up, enter your BIOS setup (usually by pressing the F2 key at the appropriate time).

Locate the BIOS Password section and turn the ON STARTUP password to off. There is no standard setup for BIOS, so I can't give you exact instructions.

If this does not work, try:
remove cell & start your pc you will here beep...beep...beep...

then turn off your pc & restore your cell.Start your pc and
password is removed.

there is a battery on motherboard,a button cell, you can try removing that and start computer, then put it back, bios settings will be lost.
you can also try removing any hardware like ram,if you have two, when system is off, turn on , it will prompt for changes , enter bios and try remove password.

It's asking me for a BIOS password, it's a Black screen, with a blue box with white lines, It only says "Enter Password" and after three tries, it shuts down. We don't have any idea what the...

The bios password only appers when you press F2 or Del upon powering it ON, so don't press anything when turning it on.

the bios password can be reset and remove its previous password by opening the laptop and remove the CMOS battery inside it, not the physical battery of the laptop, the CMOS battery is a 1inch round battery inside a laptop and computer.

Black screen ask for password

Black screen with "Enter Password" in blue box. - BIOS password.
To reset: take the CMOS battery out then place it back again.

Black screen with Enter password in the upper right left corner - could be hard disc password.,
If you set up the password before, you can only bypass that by entering the correct password. If not, it will render the hard disc useless.
