I think you are having driver problems. you need to update the driver for the webcam. also what software are you using for the webcam as this can be limited software meaning its not full active/ or basic.

This is a common propblem. There is a fix. Google Acer web cam problems and read some of the forums. They give several links to fix the problem, you may have to try several before finding the right one. Don't worry if it says the driver is for a different model, I had 5000 series here at my shop a few weeks ago and the 9300 model driver fixed the problem.
