I have a Westclox, Calander Model 70026. I have set the clock several times to the correct time,(with the time zone at the proper setting) but, after a day or so, the hour reading, reverts back one hour, to a incorrect hour reading. This clock has done this every time over a period of 3 or 4 weeks. Again, I have checked to be sure that the zone setting is on eastern time, where I live. Whats the matter here????? Hopefully one of you 156 has a answer.

It's most likely because of Daylight Saving Time. Your clock receives a signal through the air once a day from the actual atomic clock, much like a cell phone receives the time from your cell phone service provider, and it automatically resets itself to the exact time each time it receives this signal. Remember that the middle of the year (the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November in the US) is Daylight Saving Time for much of the United States. The clock has an option that allows you to set whether you are observing Daylight Saving Time or not. If this is set to "off", the time will be one hour behind until Daylight Saving Time ends (November 7th). Make sure this is set properly, and your problem will be solved.

You will see the letters DST underneath the time zone map as an indication if Daylight Saving mode is on.

Are Westclocks made in the usa?

Westclox clocks--and, at one time, watches--were once made in the United States. However, especially since the purchase of the Westclox brand and assets by a holding company in 2007, and the general disorganization that followed that acquisition, it's likely that all production has been moved offshore.

From about 1919 through the early 1980s, Westclox products were also made in Canada at their factory in Peterborough. Westclox also had a large factory in Scotland that manufactured over 50 million clocks between 1948 and 1988.

Clock is 2 hours ahead of actual cst time

If you have an atomic clock/watch that is not showing the right time, you could have one or two separate problems. First, the clock may not be set for the correct time zone. Second, the clock may have a manual switch to adjust the time for daylight savings time. Each of these problems can make your clock display the incorrect hour of the time, especially after you change the batteries and your clock "forgets" some or all of its prior settings.
Check the back of your clock to see if there is a button or switch to set the correct time zone. If your clock appears to be set to your time zone, change the switch to another time zone and see whether the clock moves forward/backward to adjust. Once it has finished adjusting to the new time zone, adjust the clock back to your time zone to see whether it will now correctly reset to display the time.
I have seen atomic clocks that have manual adjustments for these settings as well as ones that adjust automatically other than the time zone. If you provide the manufacturer and model number of your clock, we should be able to provide more detailed instructions.

The "mode" button is there to change the function of the + & - buttons.

If you press the mode button several times you will cycle through the various setting features of the clock.

Look for the one that sets the time zone and use the + or - buttons to select your zone.

Some experimentation may be required!
