Nintendo DS Lite

Hi my son dropped his ds lite yesterday and now will not power on at all. Was just wondering if there may be a fix for this or if we should just get a new one?
Thanks

When turned on top screen flashes then shuts down

My son's DS has stopped working as well. When you turn it on (plugged in or not) the bottom screen flashes gray and then goes black again.

I switched my other son's battery into this DS and the problem remained so I know its not the battery.

If you want get some tools and take the ds apart.make sure all the pieces are straight and are put together right.if there not straight, make them straight.if there not put together, put them back together.Hope it works.

Well go to a nearby GameStop they fixed my DS lite when it wouldnt charge with the charger the reason was it was old so i needed a new one anywhoo when the screen comes on it says NENTENDO DS LITE well mine says lite since it is a ds lite well you tap the screen with your pen and the menu is there or this could be because you (A) dropped it
(B) got it wet
(C) handled it roughly

Nintendo DS Lite won't come on

@JoepIt, you have a defective LCD screen. Could be upper of lower (I thing for 99% the upper).

@pietras1422, on the mainboard next to the power-switch, there is a resistor. If could be loose or is missing completely. Problem will occur when the DS Lite is dropped to the ground

DS LITE

Hi,

The described problem you have happens normally if you dropped the DS Lite. So thats why Nintendo states that it must have been dropped. It would be difficult to proof that it not has been dropped.

I think it's a wire problem and shouldn't be to hard to fix it also should be cheap.
