I have a PK5000Z from Qwest, and an XBOX360, I had an issue previously with a PK5000 made by Actiontec, with NAT issues, set to moderate, it doesnt let me hear all players in a xbox live party chat, or in game. Ive called xbox, actiontec, and qwest. No one can seem to set it to open. Qwest finally gave up and gave me a PK5000Z, which is said to be made to work with consoles, yet now I have a strict NAT. I tried looking up my modem/router in ZyXEL's website, but it doesnt have it under the list of products. I'm at wit's end, please help.

Try turnig off all restrictions related. like , S.P.I. (statefull packet inspection) and try setting firewall setting for the address of the Xbox to "DMZ" . check setting of M.T.U. in router, adjust it to 1580

Good luck.

None of these answers are solving my real problem. My xbox 360 says I have a strict NAT setting which limits things I can do on xbox live. I have a Zyxel Qwest pk5000z modem, and I have gotten to the NAT...

Technically the best support you could find for this is either going to be on the official game's forums or on the Steampowered forms (even if you didn't buy the game through Steam)
They already have the answers to your questions.

However to give you an idea as to what NAT is and why it shouldn't be affecting you too much:
Network Address Translation is a means of taking your 1 "internet" IP and translating it into potentially hundreds of local IPs (usually the 192.168.x.x range)

Usually NAT is configured on the Router, maybe your modem is also acting as a router.

If you disable it then you're using your actual internet IPs given by your Internet Provider, the problem with that is usually you're limited on how many you have (personally my provider gives me 5 internet IPs so I could have 5 routers and hundreds of computers with just those 5 IPs being handed out using NAT)

I played XBL with strict NAT and never had any problems personally, you may be looking in the wrong area for help with your issue.

How do i open an actiontec PK5000 nat to play on xbox live?

I wish I knew. So far the best solution I have is to unplug the router ever once in a while and it should atleast get you moderate nat type. This probably isnt the place to look for this kind of problem. i guess we are both **** for now

Kodak ESP 7 WIFI problems

The ACTIONTEC GT124, M1000 and PK5000 Routers are not compatible with wireless-enabled all-in-one printers. These routers cannot connect to your all-in-one printer because they do not support the multicast protocol. Contact your router supplier for additional assistance and to determine if your router will be able to support the muticast protocol in the future.

How to Open NAT?

Look for a setting like "Virtual DMZ Host". It's hard to tell for sure without knowing the make and model of your router.
