    Yup, I hate that about Canon printers. I have a ton of them and this is typical. Consider HP next time, Very well worth it. With Canons, if you use it to death, they work well, but if you use it like normal home usage, they die, usually plug up the squirters, requiring costly replacement of the head.



    With HP, they just always work. lots of use, little use, the work.

Hi annjohnswett,

Please be informed that the supplies for this printer, Canon BubbleJet i560, have expiration dates on them and it includes the printheads. Kindly check out the expiration dates for your print heads by looking on a white sticker with the date on this format yy/mm/dd. This is an old machine and printheads do wear out. To resolve this you need to buy new printheads.

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, thenprint head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Put new black and color cartridges, will not print only black lines or when I use color, just color lines, I am only using copying not hooked up with computor , juststand alone copying
Maybe the printer need to clean a slot for a catridge. Because that printer stuck with old tint in the head for a printer therefore it need clean the heads.

You're cartridges have dried out and/or you print head has blocked.

I'd try new cartridges and use the printer toolbox to clean the print head. You printer toolbox would have been installed when you installed you printer. I'd click on Start - All Programmes and look for Canon.

Error message - appropriate print head not installed - what do i do
Pixma MP760 error is showing on printer: The type of print head is not correct. Install the correct print head. I unplugged the printer for a few minutes. Didn't help. The same error window shows up when I try to print from computor. When I open the printer to look at the cartridges they do not come out to the middle.

I have a new computor with vista system in it and no cd to install it in my printer to my computor
You will need to check with the printer makers support site for the latest software. Hopefully they support Vista with that model.

It's best to avoid using the CD that comes with the printer anyway. Normally those drivers are out of date by the time the printer is purchased.

Cannot get new computor to recognise my canon printer

please log in to the safemode of the windows(press F8 button to get options) in safemode logon go to add remove hardware or system properties , remove all the printer drivers that have been installed. and restart in normal mode.

go to the below and download the EXE file for the driver :
