There should be a diagram under the cover that shows how to change cartridges. Usually you just lift cover and wait for print head and cartridges to reset to middle position. Grab cartridge and pull up and towards back of printer until it is free. Make sure you remove tape from new cartridge and insert and push until seated ( usually go back in at an angle first ) dont force it but dont be too gentle either, they do need a little force sometimes.

How do i fix error bk-crum error 093-925 - using geniue carttidges

If you have just installed these cartridges and got this message immediately, Make sure that these are the correct cartridges.

The cartridges for the Xerox 6180 are identical to look at, but have different part numbers, and crucially different chips.

There are also pagepack/Eclick versions of these cartridges.

If your printer is a 'pagepack' version of the printer, it needs pagepack/Eclick cartridges, and will give an error if normal cartridges are used. Similarly, if your printer is a 'normal' version, and you put a 'apgepack/Eclick' cartridge in it, you'll get an error.

If you've had the cartridges in the printer and used it WITHOUT getting the CRUM error message, the counter chip has become corrupted. This can happen if there is a power problem during a chip 'write' operation.

The error message points to the Black cartridge.

Carttidge error

That is a problem, remove one cartridge power up, if no! put it back and repeat with second and third until you have an answer, some printers will not work if you remove one, if that is the case with yours, remove and reseat back into place, one at a time until finished and power on, "long shot"

I have replaced the black ink cartridge in my Kodak ESP5210, I only need to print in black, now the colour has run out which I don't need (the original cartridge). I have tried taking out the colour...

go to printer & fax right click on the printer then select maintenance look for the cartridges in (default both cartridges will be detected) you must select only black then close it then try to print

Hp PSC 950 gives me a message to remove and check black cartridge

Did you remove the tape from the contacts of the new black cartridge? If so once the new one is in, unplug the printer from power and power it back on, it should do a full check after a power on off.

Error message "Color cartridge missing"

sounds like you got one with a faulty chip, take this back to where you got it from and they should replace without any problems.

Taking a cartridge out of a printer and replacing it

When you open the door above the printed product tray, both cartridges are available to you. In some cases, the printer will center these for you so they are more easily accessible. To remove the old cartridge, tilt the top to you and it will snap out of its holder and you can lift it out. Replace one at a time so that you do not mix up which carttidge goes in which slot. Remove the film at the bottom of the new cartridge and settle it into the cradle. Once that is done, tilt it back and it will click back into place for your use. Hope that helps some. I was not sure when I replaced my printer either but this works fine and has for several years now.

Black ink does not print

If you have not tried it, put the printer through a couple of printhead cleaning cycles. If this does not help, you will have to replace the printhead (the part that the cartridges go into). This is operator replaceable and I beleive it comes with instructions. If not, the instructions are listed on Canon's site. That should do it Ed
