I have a Fujitsu D1858 775 motherboard that I am trying to install ATX case. The Front panel connectors are Reset SW (blue/white), HDD Led (red/white) Power SW (pink/white) +P LED (green) and -p LED (white) I have tried to match the color of the connector to the color of the pin but thats not right and the pins are not labeled on the motherboard as I am use to - can anyone tell me which color pin gets which connector - unfortunately the diagram does not use color just shading to indicate coloring and the diagram does not exactly match the pin layout on the board

The manual shows and labels pins. Normally for ATX case leads white or black are negative connection wires. A small triangle on the plug indicates positive wire.
Looking at manual [German/English download].
Switching makes no difference since lights are separate. End pins reset switch. Power either pins 3 and 4 or 4 and 6. The Diode symbols/led neg and pos. If case includes leds with switches lights will function in proper polarity, other not. No damage done, so trial is indicated.

Basically, the switches do not recgnize polarity, so either way works though most boards show it. LEDS do require polarity matches. the symbol in the manual indicates {if memory serves) the "verticle line" will not pass posive, while the "base of the triangle" will.
Doesn't matter, wrong choice just means led does not work. Just switch pins..
HHD leds I believe require IDE HDD to function.
Power LED may be included in power switch and reqire guessing.
Haven't assembled mine yet, geeks purchase, lol. On the above it appears mind outran typing again, snafu. enjoy [and I had same problem in the day]

Dell Asus M2N61-AX MB front panel connector Nix ATX Gaming case

I assume you mean the HDD,reset,on switch etc where they plug onto the mobo.

Most mobos are labelled on the board but you will need good eyesight to read. They are labelled HDD, RESET, SPEAKER etc.

If not simply look up mobo manual from vendors site. You will need the DELL serial / part number from the old unit though.

Simple pinout help

Front Panel Header pin assignments as follows:

Pins 2 + 4 = Power Led

Pins 6 + 8 = Power Switch

Pins 12 + 14 = LAN Activity Led

Pins 1 + 3 = HDD Led

Pins 5 + 7 = Reset Switch

Pin 9 = +5v

Pins 11 + 13 = ODD Led

Pin formation is as below with no pin in position 10.

2 4 6 8 10 12 14

1 3 5 7 9 11 13

You will probably need to extend the Front Panel connector cable to reach the header pins on a replacement motherboard - I did this with 2 x N76HL 10 pin extension cables (male to female) from Maplin.

Gigabyte GA-8INXP Motherboard Problem- front connector pins

If the wires from the reset switch is white/blue the blue wire is positive, Hdd red/white red is positive power Green/white Green is positive etc. The wires on the speaker connector will be red/black/black/white - red is positive. The colored wire is always positive. On all GA mb's the positive connection is always towards the back of the MB and are marked with a + on the base of the pin as you can see on the photo. Hope this help.
