42PF9630A 42 tv turns on for couple of seconds with no picture but has sound then turns off and red light blinks and red lights blink for 5 times, is it worth fixing and how much approximately

problem on power supply , u may have 2 bAD capacitor

helloFive blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

How many times is the led flashing or is it flashing???

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.

you msy have problem with power supply there are some small caps that give you this problem call a good local TV shop that work in plasma Television (job for experienced Tech)

Does it blink a certain amount of blinks pause a second or just blink constantly with no pauses? Let me know it will blink a code if its going into protected shutdown. And it will blink constantly for another reason.

how many times does it blink red? It should blink so many times then stop then blink again. how manty times does it cycle?

i also have the same problem with the flashing green light for a while then a different red light starts blinking on and off around 5 times....and i replaced my burnt bulb with a new one...still no picture.
