Hi RobPu,
I have searched everywhere. I even entered a chat windows with Compaq & asked for a site to download the manual for Compaq Presario SR5015LA Desktop PC which has the motherboard MCP61PM-HM in it. (Nothing). This board was made by
ECS known as EliteGroup. Still nothing. Forms for the most part do not help, only with drivers. Drivers for the board can be found on Compaq's web site.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinfoCategory?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3411762
But the manual will not download. That's what is needed to hook up the front panel pins to you're case. I even looked for other possible boards who's layout was close to the MCP61PM-HM.
Nothing! I did find other Compaq PC's that also had the same board in it but after looking through the manuals, not one actuallys shows where to plug the front panel LED's on to the board. Why? Because Compaq does not support a user changing out their case for another. There is no money in that.
For the most part RobPu, system boards share some things in common. I am posting a picture for you. This pic is upside down for you so try & work with me here. Hook up you're LED's as shown. This should work for you. Pin 1 is you're starting point.
HP MCP61PM-HM motherboard diagram - daa3370.jpg This is standard for ECS boards even if it's being sold by Compaq. Like I mentioned, for you it is posted unside down.
Try it, I'm sure it will work for you.

Enjoy!
If I can help you further, feel free to post.
Suggestions & comments welcomed.
Mike

The diagram is on the MoBo! Find the CE logo near the PCIEx16 slot. It's in between each one.

Power supply diagram for ht 2000 motherboard

1) Uses one 24-pin ATX main power cable.

Motherboard installed in computer case, the motherboard connector for the 24-pin ATX main power cable; is to the Right of the Blue IDE (PATA) connector.
(Right side of motherboard)

General example. Note that color does NOT matter of connector,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain24

2) Uses one 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable,

Motherboard installed in computer case, the whitish square 4-socket hole connector, to the Bottom/Left corner of the Processor socket; is the 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable's motherboard connector.

General example. Note color does NOT matter of connector,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atx12v4

THAT, would be considered a Power Supply diagram of the motherboard.

They are the only two power cables that plug into the motherboard.

The front of your desktop computer is the Front Panel.

The area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the Main wires from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header.

Power On switch, Power On LED, (Light Emitting Diode), Harddrive activity LED, and a Reset switch IF used.

I am looking for MCP61PM-HM (Nettle) 9 pin front panel power header diagram

This motherboard Adam?

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c00906137

Can't help you.

OH, I'm just KIDDING!

The front of your computer is the Front Panel.
The area of pins on the motherboard, that the main wires from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header.

On the motherboard the Front Panel header is marked as PANEL1.
Scroll the page down, until you come to Motherboard layout.
Click on the + sign to the left of it.

Shows an illustration of the motherboard.
Bottom/Right corner is PANEL1. The black rectangle that is sitting vertically, in the motherboard photo.

Motherboard installed in computer case, the Front Panel header is two columns of contact pins.
FOUR on the Right side, FIVE on the Left side.

I don't know the actual numbering of the pins, so I'm going to number them myself;

Starting on the Left side at the Top, going down,
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Starting on the Right side at the Top, going down,
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8. There is NO Pin 10.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED (Light)
Pin 1 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
If the HDD LED is dim when the harddrive is active, switch the wires around.

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for a Reset switch, IF a Reset switch is used. If not, do not connect to them.

C) Pin 9 is N/C. Not Connected. It was a +5 Volt power for the factory.

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED (Light)
Pin 2 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
If the Power On LED is dim when the computer is on, switch the wires around.

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.

F) NO pin 10, just a blank spot.

How to find out what wires are what, in that Front Panel harness connector?

Follow the wires from the connector, up to the Front Panel.

Front Panel removed it is easier to see where the wires go.
You can follow the color code of the wires, and see which twisted pair go up to the Power On switch.

You can also see which ones go to the Power On LED.
(Light Emitting Diode, so it is a light)

Reset switch, (IF there is one), same thing.

The only pair of wires that will be left is the HDD LED wires.
HarDDrive activity LED.

The 9-pin plug will have to be CAREFULLY cut apart. Separate the wires, AND their metal terminals. (WATCH your fingers!)

Replacing a mcp61pm-hm nettle2 mobo in my hp forgot wire placemen

The little white plug sounds like the audio connector. Most usually you do not have to hook this wire up. The sata connection from the drive to the mobo should take care of everything. Most usually this plug in is for connection directly to a after market sound card. The little black plug coming from the media bay you speak of sounds like the front side usb connector. It may also include the front mic and headphone jack. Please check to see if the black plug actually attaches to the front of the pc near the power buttons.
