I have an element 37in. flx-3710 tv. lately whwn i turn it on the screen stays blacks and flickers for a few minutes untileventually the picture appears.however the picture is either washed out or so dark, even after an hour or so picture is average. what do you think the problem is?

Ldq781, I think you or electronics technician should investigate the units internal "switch-mode-power-supply/cold cathode-fluorescent lamp electronic ballast circuit(inverter) for "failed" "swollen" electrolytic filter capacitors and or "poor quality" soldering of the electronic components to the copper foil traces of the printed circuit board(power supply board) The first thing to do is visit YOUTUBE for video clips of lcd monitors being repaired for these typical types of "failures" which are most common to both types (monitors and lcd tv's) After you do your research then return here and leave additional reply if you still need help. 12fixlouie
