How to change the battery on PC21J JAPAN MOVT STAINLESS STEEL CASE BACK #SR626SW watch

Hi,

The backplate is a "pry open" back. so you will need something like a blade or a hard thin flat object to pry the backplate. once this is done you will have access to the battery. Please note that there is a tiny Philips screw that holds the battery plate. you will have to remove this screw and then remove the battery plate. Also, note that around the case there will be a thin rubber "o" ring. this is what makes the watch water-resistant. so pls male sure you fix it back when you reinstall the watch.

Removing an exterior doorknob with no screws. I can get the lever part off but can't remove the backplate by just prying. Appears to be a tiny "spring" holding it on.

Look for a little divet to pry if not its most likely joined internally try un screwing the actual backplate itself

How to change engine core plugs on my 2006 trail

You may have to disconnect the carb
Plugs facing the bulkhead may be unreachable without lifting out the engine, so you may have to have the job done at a garage.
Do not cut a hole in the bulkhead. It is load-bearing and, unless you weld a battery and drain the engine block, saving the coolant if you want to reuse it (See how to flush engine radiator).
Catch the coolant in a clean container,
Removing core plugs
With either type of plug, the usual way of removing it is to carefully drive a small screwdriver blade through the middle of the plug and prise it out.
Take care to pull out a cup-type plug straight, or it may jam.
The edges of a cup plug may project far enough for you to pull it out with two pairs of pliers. Grip the edges firmly and pull with an even amount of force on both pairs of pliers. Do not lever against the block - you may damage the plug seating.
Scrape the remains of the old sealant from the hole with a piece of wood.
Replacing a core plug Smear the mating surfaces of both plug and hole with gasket sealant.
Insert a disc-type plug with the domed side outwards. Make sure it rests squarely on the shoulder inside the hole. Tap it in the middle with a flat-headed punch to expand it. It must be a firm fit
For a cup-type plug, find a socket which fits snugly inside the cup. Hold the cup absolutely square and flat against the hole, and drive it home by tapping the socket with a soft-faced hammer.
Do not let the plug get crooked, and leave a little of the rim protruding in case you have to remove the plug later.
There may not be room to swing a hammer. For example, the Leyland 'B'-type enginr has a disc plug just in front of the bulkhead and masked by the engine backplate. But there is a hole in the backplate facing the plug.
Insert the new plug, put a 2 in. (50 mm) bolt through the hole in the backplate, and fit a washer and nut to it on the other side. Screw up the bolt to press the plug firmly home.
You may be able to adapt this method for replacing other awkward plugs.

I have a Relic airplane clock and I do not know how to replace the battery, the number is RML0000040. On the bottom of the plane is Limited Edition and China Case

It's not easy. You're probably better off brining it to the jeweler unless you already have the tools. You'll need a precision screwdriver set. Under the clock there's a tiny screw. Carefully remove that to pop the clock off the front of the plane -- don't strip it. Then get a standard flathead screwdriver to remove the cover behind the clock. Just turn it so that the tabs on the cover appear in the little openings around the edge. It should then fall out. If not, use a tiny screwdriver to remove it.
Under there is the clock. Remove the plastic spacer. You'll see the tiny little battery, which is held in by a tiny metal arm. Move the arm and the spring behind the battery will pop it up a little. Use a tiny screwdriver to carefully remove the battery. The battery is SR626SW.
Have fun putting it back together! Whoever designed this thing is on my s-list.

Replacement of front headlight on 2002 X-type Jaguar

For the headlight you need to push the
backplate retaining clip away from you towards the wing with
something like a long screwdriver. However, before you do this
loop some electrical wire through it and back towards you so that
you will have a good purchase on it to pull the retaining clip back
into place after. Also, when removing the bulb, take note of where
the flat part of it is (you'll know what I mean by looking at your
new bulbs). This will assist you in placing the new bulb into the
correct position. Then a little bit of extra dexterity is required
be holding the new bulb in place (pressing on the spade connector)
and bringing the small bulb retaining clip over to hold the bulb in
place - a bit fiddly but all with one hand as you can't get two in.
    Good luck.

Rado Diastar 196.0387.3 Ceramic No alarm Beep after Battery repla

Most likely, you have lost (or bent) a very tiny spring that is used to complete the circuit.

The piezo plate is bonded to the rear case; a part of the arm that retains the battery reaches up and contacts the rear case when the rear case is attached. The other half of the circuit, from the center-portion of the piezo crystal to the circuit board, is made via a tiny tiny tiny spring. (See a picture of a Casio contact spring doing the same job here.) In the Rado Multis that I have looked at, that spring rests loosely on a "pin" (and is therefore very easy to lose after the back is no longer holding it in place.)

Look for a cutout in the backplate of the watch mechanism, inside which is a gold pin or post that doesn't quite reach past the backplate. There's supposed to be a spring, resting loosely on this post, which (when the back is attached) reaches past the backplate to make contact with the center terminal area of the piezo.

If you're lucky, it's still in there, and bent or something. If it's missing entirely, you'll have to search out a replacement, or a watch repair that has them.
