Hello Deepak,

You can definitely fix this yourself, but I'm not entirely sure from your description which part is "dropping off". It may be a simple fix where something needs to be clipped back into place or you may need to replace something. Please can you take a look at the images below and identify which part you are having trouble with.

Below is the back of the upper spray arm which clips on to the upper rack. It has a grey plastic cover behind which is a large white plastic washer / gasket. The washer simply slots in to the back of the spray arm and the grey cover clips in over the top.

Your description suggests the grey plastic cover and/or the white washer are dropping off. If the grey plastic cover is missing, it may have fallen into the bottom of the washer under the lower rack, in which case you should be able to find it and clip it back on. If it's missing or wont clip back on, you will need to replace the upper spray arm as the cover and washer are not available separately.

This is the water delivery tube which clips to the back wall of the washing compartment. There is a metal clip which secures the tube to the wall. The open hole and one of the spigots slot in to the two holes in the back of the upper spray arm above. The spigot used depends on which height setting the upper rack is on.

Basically, everything simply clips together. If nothing is broken, you should be able to fix this at no cost by simply clipping the offending part back into place.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance or help locating replacement parts, please let me know what needs to be replaced. Nearly all Bosch parts are available and in stock direct from Bosch.

Hi Mark,

Have you checked the seal/gasket on back of the upper spray arm assembly?

If you pull the upper basket forward the entire spray arm assemble will come with it. You can remove the spray arm assembly by releasing the single clip at the top at the rear of the basket. The spray arm assembly with then slide out backwards.

Once you've removed it, have a look at the back of it. There is a plastic gasket inside with 2 holes which fit over the studs at the top of the delivery tube still attached to the back of the dishwasher.
You can remove the back cover of the spray arm assembly by releasing the 2 clips at the top and bottom. Be careful here as they may be brittle after prolonged use of the washer.

Remove the back cover and take the plastic gasket out. Place the holes of the plastic gasket over the studs on the delivery arm in the back of the washer and check the gap between the gasket holes and the studs and check for excess movement.

If there is a significant gap or movement here, then it needs to be replaced. If there isn't a reasonable seal at this location, water will leak from there and there may not be enough pressure to rotate the spray arm

If you've already done this or there seems to be no problem with the gasket, please let me know and I will try to assist you further. Similarly, if this proves to be the problem and you need assistance obtaining replacement part/s, just let me know.

Hope this helps.

The upper spray arm is not working. Any suggestions on what I might do?

THE SPRAY ARM IS CLOGGED.

YOUR FILTER IN THE BOTTOM IS CLOGGED.

THE TUBE THAT FEEDS IS HAS A BREAK GOING UP THE BACK WALL.

LACK OF WATER. ADD WATER SEE IF THAT WORKS. THEN YOU WILL NEED A VALVE.

THE SPRAY ARM TUBE IS NOT GOING INTO THE BACK OF THE FEED TUBE.

Water not pumping to upper spray arm

First,

See this link for a picture of the upper spray arm and manifold assembly.

http://www.apwagner.com/index.php?main_page=model_lookup&model_num=KUDP02IRBL0&model_id=163723&diagram_id=380403

Referring to parts 1, 6, and 9, make sure everything is attached, secure, and lines up when the upper rack is pushed back into place.

It's possible the pump is obstructed and not delivering water to the upper arm, but the more likely cause is a displaced upper arm feeder tube. If no luck, start checking for obstructions in the feeder tube, manifold and the spray arm.

Upper Spray Arm Fell Off

If you are referring to the arm on the top of the dishwaser (not the one under the top basked) it snaps in. What probably happened is that it fell off and the plastic nut flipped around. The gray plasting thing on the top (that looks like a flower) will unscrew and you can turn the nut around and snap it back on and then re-attach the entire piece.

The upper sprayer arm fell off on my Frigidaire FDBB4365FC0.

I just had the same thing happen and fixed it! You might need to remove the upper rack first. In the "Roof" of the dishwasher, you should see what looks like a plastic gear wheel. It will screw off, but you will need to put a little force to get it started. Inside of the gear is a free floating plastic ring with 2 small teeth on one side. Make sure the teeth are facing down through the center hole of the wheel. Hold the ring with one finger, and snap the spray arm back in place. Just screw the assembly back into the washer and all is good... Until it falls out again...

Upper sray arm does not turn

Take the bottom spray arm off and take out the screen etc. When these are removed it will expose the volute cover. The volute cover is what the lower spray arm attaches to, there will be a few screws that hold it on, when the screws are removed it will lift off. Under it you will find a check ball, it should move freely, it is most likely stuck in place, if it is free it and clean it and the track it rolls in. re-assemble and it should work. hope this helps
