Hi, We have many Networked Zebra Printers(140xiIII & 110xiIII) that we print to from AS400's just fine. We are migrating to an ERP system running Oracle. We will be printing to these Zebra Printers using Crystal Reports instead. When we print using Crystal Reports the printer buffer doesn't clear out after printing a label, so it will print the previous print job and the new one on the same label. If I power off the printer it clears the print job out of the buffer. Is there a setting on the printer to clear the buffer every time it prints a label? I searched for a solution, but have not found one.

SOURCE: want to reset my Zebra 140XiIII back to factory settings?

I resolved the problem by going into the setup program and then exiting and at that point I was prompted to save my changes and one of the options was to load Default settings. Once I chose this I was able to print on the 4X6 labels correctly, before that the configuration was feeding a label and 1/2 and print across two labels.

SOURCE: ZEBRA printing issues via AS400

I fixed my issue and I now have my Bar Code?s printing via my AS400. I am now using just a straight outq as well. I converted my code to use the ?@? instead of ?^? as the control character, and I also had to tweak the settings in the remote outq, but here is my definition just in case you need to use it. Make sure the label size is correct, if the print encounters a gap before it is complete; it will re-print the same label. In MS Word make sure the page size is set to the correct size including any headers and footers and Width etc.

Using MS Access, I am printing labels to a Zebra 110XiIII printer. The output truncates the label to 2" instead of the 3.5" I have the report page settings saved as. I have been through the setup...

First check printer. Change setting "Print Width" to maximum width, save. Switch off. Hold down pause key while switching on (untill all but power light turns off). the subsequent prints should print across the full width. If this is OK fault is with label format.

If you are using windows printer driver check settings there this can over ride printer settings. If using ZPL the problem is most likely in the label format.

iseries uses EBCDIC and the file is probably ASCII when importing from/to the iSeries charset convertions ensues, there must be some char that isn't translating well and thus converting itself in some control code, use DSPF or EDTF to open the file and check with F15 the encoding for more info I need to know what is your system CCSID

Small label is being cropped at the top

Have you tried the menu settings for start top of label? If other printers work, you are talking about a configuration setting. I would get a configuration off another printer that works and look at yours real close.

Printing mixup

Your problem is a computer configuration issue, not a printer problem.

Without knowing any details of your system configuration, it is impossible to offer and further advice.
