Lamp replacement just changed the lamp on my sharp xr 11xc however now both red standby light and red lamp light are lit. Can I reset or does it need some special service

    I reset the lamp counter per my user manual, but now i am getting the same thing over and over again. did i miss something?

    just replaced lamp on XR-11C Sharp projector. the red power light comes on but it will not turn on.

    I have same problem with the lamp replacement and trying to find the manual to reset the timmer. I don't know why sharp had such a stupid design. -dan

    I have the same problem. I installed new bulb reset the timer. The standby light turns green and the lamp light flashes green for a while. Then it shuts off and both turn red. No picture ever comes up.

You will have to reset both the lamp and filter timer before it will change the status of this unit.

Your user manual will have all the steps in it on how to do the required resetting.

Per the manual, hold down MENU button, DOWN button, and the ENTER button, then press the STANDBY/ON button.

I have the exact same problem. I've only reset the counter once though. It worked great at first, but seems to be getting worse. It's like it tries to start, just doesn't light up (maybe not warm enough???) then retries like 5 times until switching to the red light. Unplug and retry.... and eventually it does come on, and once on, all is ok. Is this just the projector trying to slowly 'break in' the new bulb since it has almost no hours?

My Sharp XR-11XC Projector died not long ago with very few hours of use. The unit will not power up nor does it show any signs of trying to. No LED lights, no fans - nada. I tested the fuse and it's...
I opened mine up hit the red reset in the front and now all good. If ur red light is blinking make sure ur lamp compartment is shut properly, if not the red light will blink and unit won't turn on.

I just replaced the lamp in my xr-11xc sharp projector, reset the timer, and it turned on. after shut down, i tried it again, and now the standby light comes on, i hear the fan spin up, then the lamp...
the colorwheel may be bad. if it doesn't spin, the lamp won't strike. if the colorwheel is ok, replace the power supply/ballast. you can get one and do it yourself, or send it to a sharp service center. either way, try www.avsolutionsny.com. they're really good.

have you reset the lamp timer yet? can't remember the procedure for that one exactly often hold power and down and left arrows whilst plugging in power. Check info on instructions that came with your new lamp.
