First make sure how many chanels the TV itself has.. Some TV's (usually the smaller 14" old CRT's) dont hold that many chanels..

Try an autoscan again, and a manual scan. If that doesnt work, it could be that the cable signal is weak. You will probably want to call the cable guy to take a look.

The tv is connected to Dish Network as TV2. I accidentally changed the channel & now I can't get it back to channel 90 - it only goes to 13 now. How do I fix this?

In the menu screen, you must find antenna connections. For example " TV Air "(over the air channels 2 through 13) or cable TV. You must tell the menu to select cable TV (with the original remote). This will allow you access to channel 90. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support.

Hi Someone gave me this old Sanyo TV Model # 31C4760, When I connect it with my cable it catches only basic (13 channels) instead of 60 channels. How should I see all the channels? What should I do?

If it is very old (with rotory/manual channel changer), you are out of luck unless you get a cable box from your cable company - this will let you set your TV on channel 3 or 4 and the cable box will find all stations for you. The cable box goes between your wall cable and your TV.

It your TV has an electronic tuner with a remote, try going into the setup menu and select signal source as CATV instead of antenna.

Please rate me.

Only goes up to Channel 19.

Go into the TV's setup screen and make sure its tuning mode is set for "cable" (may say "CATV"). I'm not familiar with this set so I don't know exactly what the screen will say, but there should be some reference to channel setup, TV setup, tuning band, etc. It's probably set on "AIR" now.

Normally, when set for off-air reception, the set works properly for channels 2 through 13, and 14 up don't tune properly. Since you're getting channels up to 19, there may in fact be some kind of tuner problem. If the TV is already set for cable tuning, you may have found why the former owner was freecycling it. But check that tuning mode.

Only getting some channels to come in...

Check your latest phone bill and see if you have a basic extended package. If you dont you may have been downgraded to only get basic cable which is 2-13.

The auto program adds every channel that the television can detect.

Cannot watch channels past 13

Your tuner settings must be set on broadcast instead of cable. Below channel 13, they use the same frequencies so it doesn't matter. Find the tuner settings page in the menus and change the cable/air setting.

Cannot program cable to tv

if your are using a cable box,all of your channels will be control only on the cable box.so, what you are going to do is use the remote control of the cable box.
