Bad diaphragm.or a need to adjust the high on carb.
I know it is hard to believe but this carb does not have a high carb adjustment, just an idle screw. I am not sure if we are talking about a diaghragm in the carb as there is no repair kits available just a new carb which I just installed. or is there is another diaghragm that I am missing. thanks for your input
ok... what kind of machine is it? and roughly what year is it? does this have a primer bulb on it?
this is a craftsman 32cc/1.9cu. in. 2 cycle with a bulb purge or primer and approx 3 years old.
ok, if there is a primer bulb, there is a diaphram., carefully take the screw out of side were bulb is, an inspect it very carefully. it can have the smallest hole., or possible dirt in it. this will make the machine not run proper. i would recomend cleaning the carb with some carb cleaner, then blow it out with high pressure. as for the diaphram, gently wipe it down with a paper towel. i usually take carb all apart, carefully removing gaskets, diaphrams, or what ever i can before i spray, or soak it. now the other side were the gas lines hook to the carb should have somewhat of a screen type gasket. i would remove this to before i spray it down. i no u said carb is new and all, but its really all accoarding to were you get it from. like i have bought carbs on ebay that claimed to be new, but had to do what i just told you, and after doing what i have just explained to you, they work fine.

I gave up and took the machine to Sear's to have them fix. They could not find the problem. The good news is that it had two more months on the warranty so got a new machine at no charge. Maybe next time I will look at purchase date and coverages. Thanks for all your input.
