W902 Sony Ericsson. My Walkman button and my volume up wont work properly.. i'we already opened up the phone and cant seem to find any damage or visible faulties on the buttons. They seem unharmed and they make this "clicking" sound like they should do, so i think it might be because of a problem with the electricity not given correctly to the phones buttons.. might have to do with the (-) circuit and not the (+) one.. but not certain.. any suggestions?

Play a asong to check whether the problem is with the speaker or the phone. If you hear the song when played through walkman then , Check whether the volume of speaker is low. for this make a call. when you see the call in progress on your display press the rocker keys on the side of your phone to adjust the volume of the speaker while making a call.
You can chage the volume by the roker keys provided with the symbol "+" and"-" Sony walkman series phones stores two different levels of volume for the call and for the Multimedia.

If the volume is full and still the sound wont come then follow these steps.
If you have the proper tools >>remove the battery. >>open the back cover of your phone >>open the front panel of your phone >>carefully unscrew all the screws visble >>now take out each part with care.(samo needs extra care while pulling out from the base board.) make sure you dont break the borad. now you gain access to the speaker near the speaker port. use an eraser to rub and clean the terminal s of the speaker as well as the mother board of the phone.(Dont rub too hard or else you will damage the phone) >>now put everything back and switch on your phone. You should be able to hear the sound.
if you still dont hear the sound replace the small speaker( you already know how to remove it as you have opened the case once) it wont cost more than 2 or 3 dollars.
if dont have the proper tools >>Go to the nearest dealer/shop and hand over the phone to them. Let them do their job. They will replace the speaker immediately. wont take long

My phone have problems :

1. when i try to open games or application list from desktop, the phone display "operation failed"

2.the Walkman icon on desktop cannot be executed , same with the Walkman button ( when i press the button or icon , nothing happen)

3.the "operation failed" msg are also diplay when im trying to run SensMe function

Can i do the formating on my own computer? how to do it? will it fix the current problem? or is there any other method i can use without formatting?

Sir, it think its a Firmware problem. Just upgrade the Firmware using the phone's internet or PC Suite.

mines just recently stopped working tooo! its annoying! ive researched and need to buy a side button ribbon but they are too pricey man!!! but ive only had the phone a few months tooo so i dont wanna get rid of it this easy :( might have to buy it and tell someone fix it

dont be late to update your softwere.it may also an ic complient.try updating.

ye you need to purchasde one of these then get it fixed by someone. i had same problem! thats all the buttons covered even the side buttons and walkman button tooo

there is some problem with the screen resolution system file , as u said that the screen menu is not viewable properly , but walkman menu is properly viewed so the problem is there with certain applicatins not all...plz visit ur nearest Sony erricsson care centre and rectify the issue...
