Slow brew time / water disappears?

B&D ISX23, 2 years old, recently cleaned (with vinegar), still brews slowly, and often brews only part of the 12 cups put into it. We put 12 cups into it, and only get 8 cups out?

We have the same problem. Lots of steam, very little coffee, almost no water flow over the grounds. We have cleaned it with vinegar as well and it made the problem worse the second time around -- now no water flow, only steam.

I have this problem with a 4 cup model. 4 cups in, 2 cups out. I cleaned it twice with vinegar (with a filter in place). The first time didn't seem to help, but the second time I got about 2.5 cups out, along with a bunch of old grounds that I think had been sucked into the pump. Ran water through it twice, and now it gets to about 3 cups.

I think the problem is just that the pump is clogged with grounds. If vinegar makes yours worse my guess is that a big piece got dislodged and is now blocking the tube. More vinegar might help.

Slow dripping and ground cup is extremely hot

Have you tried cleaning your coffee maker? If not just fill half of the carafe with white vinegar and let it brew. Keep basket in during cleaning but no filter needed. After running the vinegar through the brew cycle, fill the carafe with plain water and run fresh water through about 3 to 4 times. I do this every 4 to 6 months. I have a light on my coffee maker that lets me know when I need to clean it. I hope this helps.

Delay brew will not come on in my Mr. coffee

I tried everything (cleaned multiple times, unplugged for 10 minutes) and then my husband asked.... is the time set for the delay brew? The answer....no! The power went out recently and we reset the clock but not the delay brew time (we don't use it much lately). Once I set the delay time the unit now works for delay brew!

My Cuisinart 10 cup Grind & Brew does not finish the brew cycle. After brewing 2 cups of coffee, it beeps 5 times as if the brew cycle has ended. Then it continues to drip very very slowly. It's only...

you need to run a few pots of straight white vinegar through the machine to clean out the lime build up in the tubes. the first time you do it, after it starts to pump the water, shut it off for a few hours and let the vinegar sit in the tubes. after doing this run a few pots of cold water through before making coffee.

Brewing time is too long 20 min for 6cups

You have an obstruction in the feed line to the heating element. I found coffee grounds before the check valve. I had to take the bottom off it which I am sure the manufacture wouldn't approve of but I was at my wits end and ready to toss it. I just brewed a full pot 10 minutes!!!

Brews very slowly

If you ever had coffee ground spill over the top of the basket and into the water reservoir then you may have gotten grounds into the pump valve. That would cause it to pump water slowly or not at all. Before you take the machine apart to clean out the hose and pump try flushing it out. I used a turkey baster full of water and stuck the tip into the hole at the bottom of the reservoir that leads to the pump and heater. Forcefully squeeze the baster which will flush water and hopefully the coffee grounds through the pump and out into the pot.

Won't brew

Run vinegar/water solution - 1/3 caraffe distilled white vinegar and 2/3 caraffe water. Let the vinegar/water solution sit in the water reservoir for up to 20 mins before you start brewing the first batch of vinegar/water solution. Run it up to 3 times - just like you would normal coffee. Then, run a caraffe of plain water and see if all is well.

If that fails, then you have a busted or damaged hose inside.

Call Cuisinart, because that one is still in warranty - you will not need a receipt or a box for that one.

Since I cleaned our Cuisinart 12-cup Brew Central with "Dip-it"  destainer last week, it takes about 3 times longer to brew, and it steams outrageously practically the whole time.  Using the same...

Run 1/3 caraffe vinegar and 2/3 caraffe water through the machine.
Dip-It is not the best cleaner to use with this coffeemaker - stick to distilled white vinegar.

If the cleaning fails to resolve the issue, and the unit was purchased in the last 3 years, call Cuisinart and see if you are still in-warranty.
