The other party cannot hear me from one of the Uniden DCX 640 handset
One of the handsets (total 3) does not transmit voice, and so for an incoming call, the caller cannot hear the person using this handset. All other handsets work fine. The battery is fine

If you do not have an answering system (answering machine) on the phone, you need to purchase a answering machine or contact your telephone service provider to get Voice Mail service from them. (Most charge $3-5 per month for voice mail.) The provider will tell you what number to call to set up a voice mail message and access messages.
I hope this helps.
Cindy Wells (for most Uniden systems with the answering system, you need to turn it on and then access the system from the handset to set the out-going message and length of incoming messages allowed.)
Your phone's owner manual can be downloaded from this location.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out soon.
Anyway, please, let me know if I can help you out any further.

Carlos
This can be one of a couple of things. First of all, if this is a multi-handset phone, go off hook on two handsets at the same time and see if you can hear yourself in both phones (Speak into one while listening to the other) If it is only a single handset phone, do the same thing only with another phone. If you cannot hear anything coming from the uniden phone, it may have a bad mic in the handset and would need to be replaced. (the handset not the mic) If you bought it less then a year ago and still have the receipt, call uniden at 18002971023 and they will help you get it replaced.
check on the on-screen display that you have not activated the "Mute" feature on those handsets.. if you have then you should be able to deactivate via the in screen menu
Any kind of intermittent transmission problem, or solid transmission problems you mention are directly related to your phone. I'm not sure what kind of phone you have. If this is a typical home phone, it would either be the handset or the handset cord. If this is wireless, its the entire handset.
Do you have another phone (cell phone) you can use to make a test call to yourself? If you can answer a call and the Uniden transmits voice OK, then it is probably the speaker and may just be a bad solder connection. If the handset does not transmit or receive I seriously doubt you have a bad microphone AND a bad speaker, you'd be looking at something more serious.
