Question about Kyocera CS-2550 Black and White Copier

1 Answer

We have had labels stick to the drum of our copier 3 or 4 times now. Our service company is telling us we should not use labels at all with this machine. I have worked in offices for 13 years and have never seen this type of thing. Can you help?

Toner NOT sticking to paper

"Cars & Trucks" is not the correct place to post your question for your Xerox XC1044 Copier. However, I can tell you that the heating element in your drum assembly is most likely defective. That is why the toner is not is not getting hot. You will have to replace your drum assembly to fix it.

HINT: on an older copier/printer like the XC1044, it is usually just as expensive to replace the drum assembly as it is to buy a new copier/printer. You should probably shop around before putting any money into it.

I have canon LBP2900B printer. there is problem when i print paper it outcomes black left and right sides. please help me

its the cartridge drum i think, happens if you refill the cartridge 2-3 times. if you show picture of the print i can tell for sure. for now just take out the cartridge and have a look on the green drum. if you see wearing on the sides of the drum corresponding to the black on your print you can be sure.
find toner refill company near you, they can recycle the cartridge for you, it is cheaper than buying new original cartridge.

I got a label stuck in my printer, it is copying it 3 times on my documents.. what can I do to get it out

Remove the toner/drum combination unit. Now remove the toner cartridge from the drum unit. From your description, the label is stuck onto the surface of the drum. You should be able to see it on the drum cylinder surface. You may have to rotate the drum to get the whole label off. Clean any remaining label adhesive from the drum surface with a bit of glass cleaner sprayed onto a soft cloth. Then dry the area, re-install the toner and then the toner/drum assembly into the machine and test. Hopefully you can accomplish this without damaging the drum unit. If not you may have to replace the drum unit with a new one.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

A stick on label was caught on one of the rollers. I removed it but now there are 5 red dots in a line down the page and finely splattered over the page.

I'm not totally familiar with this printer, but if it's like most laser printers it has all in one toner cartridges with the drum built in. Most likely you will have to replace the whole cartridge if the label got on the drum. You can try using a little bit of rubbing alcohol and cleaning the drum, but that can permanently damage it.

Label adhesive stuck on laser printer drum

sometimes using the adhesive itself will tend to gather the other residues. As if it will act like a 'magnet' every time you push it back on the surface but have to pull it out quickly (repeatedly)...see if it helps

Something stuck in print cartridge

if the label came off on the drum then no, the drum is the blue or green roller that is protected by the plastic flap. A quick easy way to tell is that there should be 3 or 4 marks on the page, evenly spaced, this will indicate something stuck on the drum. The only repair is to replace it, because of the highly sensitive material that it is made of.

A piece of clear label has stuck to something inside

You can go here and download the service manual for that printer. But as far telling you exactly where that "label" is . .I would guess either the drum or developer ..
