Error ce-02 means that the computer the image is being sent to is not running sharps "network scanning tool" which is part of the sharpdesk software suite

CE-02 says that the copier can't find the IP address it's been told to send it to. You had your workstation set on DHCP instead of locking it on static, now the copier can't find it because it's still using the IP address you sent it when you created your scan profile. Either lock your workstation on a static IP or get a local DNS server involved, wipe out your scan profiles on the copier, put the local DNS server IP in the web page, and resubmit your profiles from the scanner tool on your workstation.

You have to go the copiers web page and wipe out all the old profiles. Then resubmit then from the Network Scanner Tool. If the copier comes back with an error message, wipe out and recreate the profiles from the NST.

Hey, had the same error about two weeks ago. Make sure that what ever device your are trying to open your scanned files allows port #### to be open in the firewall. Naturally you would assume that it is but i spent two weeks circling around that result.

Check your SMTP server set on the copier. Chances are it's wrong. Also check the SMTP relays if there are any.

You can edit your profiles by typing in the ip address of the copier in your browser. This should bring up the settings of the copier. Then click on "destination" that will show you all the profiles and settings

You need to restart your exchange server because there may be updates and your exchange server didn't accept it. Good Luck

What is Network error (CE 02) thank you

Network Error CE-02 - this is where the machine cannot communicate with the SMTP Gateway / Mail Server for scanning. Check that you have a connection with the network and that you have the correct SMTP I.P address.

If you are using a host name for the mail server make sure that you have configured the DNS entries correctly.

Hope this helps.

You didn't tell me enough about the problem. Are you trying to scan from a PC or to a PC? The problem is that the network address changed when you moved the printer. You can fix this by correcting the network address

Server unavailable error

Ah, the dreaded CE-00 and CE-02. This is a networking problem!!

It means the IP address stored in the copier for the computer you're trying to scan to is old and stale!!! That workstation got its IP refreshed by DHCP and your copier has been left in the dust!

To refresh the workstation's scan profile information in the copier either:
1) Reboot the workstation, or
2) Find the Network Scanner Tool icon in your tray, right-click on it, find Automatic Profile Update, and click on Update Now.

Also check the webpage and make sure that if you're using DNS for name resolution that you have the correct and working DNS IP's!!

Desktop PC address are properly set.
4) If the above address is described with

is properly set.
5) Check that the SMTP server/FTP
server/NST causes a trouble or not.

Network Error CE-02

There is a Windows Port that is being blocked. First make sure the IP it's scanning to and IP on the machine are the same. disable the firewall. I'm working on narrowing down the port now and will post as soon as I find it.

Network Error on display

Have you setup your smtp address on the machine? From any workstation in the same network open your web browser. Key in the IP address of the mfp copier. Goes to network setup and key-in your smtp address.
