I am afraid there is not much you can do except re-install Windows. the reinstall may be able to repair the damage and provide a quicker result.
You need to get your repair DVD and insert that then turn the PC and boot from the DVD.
ya u can do that.but demerits are ur old windows still occupy space.if any virus exists it will still exist.so i suggest u to make fresh install by formatting ur c drive
