Hi,
The system requirements for the game are as follows:
MINIMUM PC REQUIREMENTS
Windows 98/2000/XP
Pentium III 800MHz Processor (Pentium 4 1.2GHz Recommended)
256MB RAM
600MB Hard Disk Space
32MB DirectX compatible 3D Video Card
8X CD-ROM or DVD-ROM Drive
DirectX compatible Sound Card
Mouse
DirectX 8.1
The game ONLY runs on Windows 98/2000/XP.
A computer running Windows Vista or Windows 7 will not support this game.
If you have another computer with those operating systems, please install the game on that and it will work fine.
This will resolve the issue you are facing.
If this doesn't work for you, please comment and let me know, and I will be more than happy to assist you to further resolve your issue.
I will look forward to your feedback and positive rating.
You are welcome.
Yeah, for this game to run, it will have to be XP. Strange as it may seem!
I am a keen gamer myself and have some hardware devices (Web Cam etc) lying around that have been rendered totally useless since I moved on to Windows 7 on my Dell desktop recently.
Hi - have downloaded onto another machine running XP and having the same issue - the game just doesn't want to run. Any other thoughts?
cheers.
Ricky
Hi Ricky,
Well, let us try some more things that have helped me in the past resolving computer game issues.
First off, we need to make sure that the computer running Windows XP complies to the minimum hardware requirements for the game.
The critical ones that are a must, are:
1. 32MB DirectX compatible 3D Video Card
2. DirectX 8.1
The computer should have a video card which enables the system to run the graphically demanding games.
I have frequently seen that games will not run on a computer that does not have a dedicated graphics card.
Also, please check the Direct X version on the computer and update it to the minimum required version 8.1
You may check the Direct X version currently installed by going to Start --> Run and type "Dxdiag" (without the quotes). It will open up a utility which will show you the current version of Direct X on the computer.
In case you need to upgrade the same, Direct X is freely downloadable from this page on the Microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/de...
Also, please try to run the game from the exe icon in the Program files folder.
Sometimes a corrupt shortcut on the Desktop or Start Menu prevents the game from launching successfully.
We need to also ensure that the installer that we have downloaded is not corrupt.
You might want to download a fresh copy off the game developer's website.
If this does not help, please upgrade the Service Pack of your Operating system to Windows XP Service Pack 2. This can be accomplished by running a Windows update.
Please try these steps and this should help in resolving the issue.
I will await your response after you have tried these steps.
